Summary

B2B Industrial Manufacturer | Initial Audit with Long-Term Contract-to-Hire Opportunity Dynamix Agitators is a North American manufacturer of industrial mixers and agitators. We sell both engineered, quote-based mixing systems and more standardized products used in industries such as water and wastewater treatment, chemicals, mining, agriculture, oil and gas, and general industrial processing. We are looking for a senior, hands-on digital professional to begin by conducting a complete website journey and site-health analysis. This is not intended to be a one-time SEO audit. The right person will have the opportunity to become a long-term, potentially full-time member of our team, taking increasing ownership of our website, SEO, digital experience, content priorities and external digital vendors. The initial assignment Your first responsibility will be to determine how well our website supports the complete buyer journey—from the visitor’s first landing page through product research, technical evaluation, quote submission, sales qualification and eventual opportunity creation. We need someone who can answer questions such as: • Who is visiting the site, what are they trying to accomplish and where do they enter? • How do visitors move between technical content, industry pages, application pages and product pages? • Where do visitors become confused, disengage or leave? • Which pages contribute to qualified quote requests? • Are our navigation, information architecture and calls to action appropriate for technical B2B buyers? • Is our website supporting our application-engineering and product-quality positioning? • Is the mobile experience materially weaker than the desktop experience? • Are analytics and conversion events measuring actual commercial activity, or merely clicks and technical events? • Does e-commerce have a legitimate role on the site? • How can standard products, replacement parts or accessories be sold online without weakening the brand position of our engineered mixer business? • What should be repaired, redesigned, consolidated, removed or newly developed? We do not want a generic automated SEO report. We want a commercially useful diagnosis and a prioritized implementation plan. Phase 1: Website journey and site-health assessment The initial paid engagement should include the following. 1. Analytics and measurement validation Review and validate the existing measurement environment, including where applicable: • GA4 • Google Tag Manager • Google Search Console • Google Ads conversion tracking • Call-tracking data • Website forms and thank-you pages • CRM lead-source information • Bot and spam traffic • Referral and AI-search traffic • Mobile versus desktop performance Identify missing, duplicated, misleading or incorrectly configured events. Recommend a measurement framework that follows: Traffic source → landing page → journey → meaningful action → qualified lead → opportunity → quotation → won or lost result 2. Buyer and user-journey analysis Develop journey maps for the most important visitor types, such as: • Engineers researching a mixing application • Buyers looking for a specific mixer or product family • Existing customers looking for parts, service or replacement equipment • OEMs, integrators and engineering firms • Municipal and industrial water-treatment buyers • Visitors interested in standardized or potentially e-commerce-enabled products For each journey, identify: • Likely entry points • Search intent • Information requirements • Decision points • Trust and proof requirements • Calls to action • Conversion barriers • Missing content • Recommended next steps We want both quantitative analysis and qualitative judgment. 3. Complete website-health assessment Assess the website across: • Information architecture • Navigation and findability • UX and conversion paths • Mobile experience • Visual design and consistency • Page layout and readability • Technical SEO • On-page SEO • Internal linking • Content quality and technical authority • Page speed and Core Web Vitals • Indexation, canonicalization and redirect issues • Schema and structured data • Accessibility fundamentals • Quote forms and contact paths • Product-page effectiveness • Industry and application-page effectiveness • E-commerce architecture and brand fit • AI search, AEO and GEO readiness 4. E-commerce recommendation Our company sells complex engineered systems, but we also have products, parts and accessories that may be suitable for online purchasing. We need a clear recommendation concerning: • Which products should or should not be sold online • Whether e-commerce should be integrated, separated or selectively exposed • How e-commerce can support SEO without confusing the buyer • How to preserve a technically credible, premium engineering brand • When the site should use “Buy,” “Configure,” “Request Pricing,” “Talk to an Engineer” or “Request a Quote” • How standardized and custom-engineered product journeys should connect 5. Prioritized implementation roadmap The final Phase 1 deliverable should include: • Executive assessment of overall website health • Journey maps • Analytics and tracking findings • SEO and technical findings • UX and web-design findings • E-commerce recommendation • Priority-page assessment • Recommended site architecture • Wireframes or design concepts for the highest-priority pages • Immediate fixes • 90-day implementation backlog • Six- to twelve-month roadmap • Impact-versus-effort prioritization • Recommended responsibilities for internal staff, the selected lead and outside specialists • KPI dashboard specification The report must translate findings into actions, owners and priorities. Long-term opportunity Following the initial assessment, the successful candidate may move into a substantial ongoing role and potentially a full-time position. The long-term responsibilities may include: • Owning the website improvement roadmap • Managing the web-development and design backlog • Planning and executing technical SEO • Managing on-page SEO and internal linking • Developing SEO, AEO and GEO priorities • Creating or directing landing pages, product pages and industry pages • Creating content briefs for technical subject-matter experts • Improving quote and lead-conversion paths • Coordinating website, SEO, content, PPC and design specialists • Reviewing vendor performance and deliverables • Managing website quality and brand consistency • Working with sales and Application Engineering to understand customer questions • Connecting marketing activity to qualified leads, quotations, pipeline and revenue • Producing a concise monthly management report • Establishing digital standards, processes and documentation • Recommending priorities rather than simply responding to task requests What you should be able to do personally We are not expecting one person to be an expert developer, designer, analyst, SEO strategist, copywriter and marketing technologist at the same level. However, you must personally be able to: • Analyze website and customer-journey data • Identify measurement problems • Conduct technical and on-page SEO assessments • Recommend information architecture • Create page strategies, wireframes or prototypes • Improve website UX and conversion paths • Write clear briefs for designers, developers and writers • Prioritize work commercially • Manage specialists and vendors • Explain findings clearly to company leadership You should also be capable of implementing routine website and SEO improvements yourself or directly supervising their implementation. Required experience Strong candidates will have demonstrated experience in several of the following areas: • B2B website strategy • Complex or technical products • Industrial, manufacturing, engineering or long-sales-cycle businesses • User-journey analysis • GA4 and Google Tag Manager • Google Search Console • Technical and on-page SEO • Conversion-rate optimization • Information architecture • Mobile UX • WordPress • Figma or a comparable wireframing/design platform • Web-design project management • Content strategy • CRM and marketing attribution • Managing agencies, freelancers or specialist vendors Experience with CallRail, Looker Studio, Microsoft Clarity, Hotjar, HubSpot, Maximizer or similar systems is useful but not mandatory. This role is probably not suitable for you if • Your audits consist mainly of automated tool exports. • You focus on rankings, traffic or backlinks without connecting them to qualified business opportunities. • You are only a graphic designer and do not understand analytics or SEO. • You are only an SEO specialist and cannot evaluate UX, navigation or web design. • You recommend a complete redesign before validating the existing data and customer journeys. • Your proposal will be sold by a senior person and delivered entirely by junior staff. • You are seeking a short engagement with no interest in ongoing ownership. • You cannot distinguish a website conversion event from a commercially qualified lead. Individual applicants are preferred. Small teams may be considered, but only when a named senior lead will personally conduct the analysis, attend meetings and remain accountable for the work. How success will be measured Success will not be based only on traffic, impressions, rankings, clicks or the number of pages published. The role will ultimately be measured through improvements in: • Measurement accuracy • Visibility of complete customer journeys • Qualified quote requests • Quote-form completion rate • Organic visibility for commercially important topics • Engagement on priority product and application pages • Mobile user experience • Website speed and technical health • Sales acceptance of website leads • Qualified pipeline and quotation value • Website-development speed and quality • Completion of high-priority roadmap items • Vendor accountability and budget control Engagement structure We expect to structure the engagement in three stages: Stage 1 — Paid diagnostic: Approximately four to six weeks to complete the journey analysis, site-health assessment and implementation roadmap. Stage 2 — Implementation period: Approximately 90 days to complete the highest-priority improvements, establish measurement and demonstrate working capability. Stage 3 — Long-term role: Expanded ongoing hours, potentially 30–40 hours per week or a contract-to-hire arrangement, based on performance, capability and mutual fit. Applicants should quote the initial diagnostic separately and provide their expected hourly rate for ongoing work. Some working-hour overlap with Pacific Time will be required. How to apply Please answer each of the following questions directly. Generic proposals will not be reviewed. 1. Describe one B2B website where you analyzed the visitor journey and improved lead quality or conversion performance. What did you personally do, and what changed? 2. How would you determine whether declining website performance is caused by demand, SEO, website UX, tracking problems, bot traffic or a combination of these factors? 3. How would you design a website that contains both complex, quote-based engineered products and selected e-commerce products without weakening the company’s technical brand? 4. What portions of this role can you perform personally? What work would require another specialist? 5. Describe an occasion where you managed web, SEO, content or advertising vendors. How did you set priorities and hold them accountable? 6. Provide an example of a journey map, website audit, analytics dashboard, wireframe or digital roadmap that you personally developed. Confidential information may be removed. 7. Describe what you would aim to understand during your first 30 days. 8. Confirm your weekly availability, time-zone overlap and interest in a possible long-term or full-time relationship. Please do not send a generic SEO report, automated audit or general agency presentation as your application.
