ServiceNow Developer with HRSD/LSD

We are seeking a ServiceNow Functional Consultant with experience in HRSD or LSD modules to support our ongoing projects. This is a part-time role requiring 40 hours per month. The ideal candidate should be able to work independently and deliver reliable solutions within the project timeline. Role Summary We are implementing ServiceNow Legal Service Delivery and need a senior LSD functional expert to review and harden our implementation design, guide the implementation team, validate OOB-vs-custom decisions, and support UAT/go-live readiness. This is an advisory and design-assurance role, not a hands-on full-time build role. Key Responsibilities • Review existing LSD implementation specs covering intake, taxonomy, matter lifecycle, routing, SLA, notifications, workspace, dashboards, approvals, documents, ACL, confidentiality, and audit. • Validate what should be handled through native LSD, configuration, Flow Designer, ACLs, or custom development. • Challenge unnecessary customization and document the rationale for any custom deviation. • Guide the implementation team through weekly design/build review sessions. • Review confidentiality and access design, including Standard, Confidential, Restricted, and Privileged matters. • Validate requester, counsel, manager, approver, and auditor visibility. • Review SLA, pause/resume logic, dependency tracking, and escalation rules. • Review legal workspace, worklists, dashboards, and reporting design. • Help define UAT scenarios and provide go-live readiness recommendations. Expected Deliverables • Initial functional review report • OOB / configuration / custom decision register • Risk and hardening backlog • Weekly advisory notes • Security, confidentiality, and ACL review note • SLA and dependency validation note • UAT scenario pack • Go-live readiness recommendation Required Experience • 5+ years ServiceNow functional consulting experience • Hands-on experience with ServiceNow Legal Service Delivery • Strong understanding of legal intake, matter management, legal workflows, approvals, SLA, routing, and legal operations • Good knowledge of ServiceNow Flow Designer, Record Producers, Task SLA, notifications, workspaces, reports, roles, groups, and ACLs • Ability to distinguish between OOB capability, configuration, and custom development • Experience with confidentiality, restricted access, privileged documents, and audit requirements • Ability to guide developers and implementation teams without over-engineering the solution Preferred Experience • Prior LSD implementation or solution assurance experience 1-2 years • Legal operations / enterprise legal service management exposure • Experience in security-sensitive or regulated environments • Experience supporting UAT and go-live readiness What This Role Is Not This is not a generic ITSM consultant role. This is not a pure developer role. The consultant must be able to challenge design choices, validate functional risk, and guide an OOB-first, secure LSD implementation
