Shopify Designer + Developer: Build a Best-in-Class Subscription PDP for a Coffee Hardware Brand

About Us Pure Over (pureover.com) is a plastic-free coffee brand. Our all-glass pour over brewer is 90% of sales today, and we're launching a coffee bean subscription that layers on top of the brew kit purchase: customers buy the brewer once and get fresh beans delivered on a recurring schedule. We need a hybrid designer/developer to design and build the subscription experience on our Shopify store. The Project Design and develop two product detail page (PDP) variations, powered by Skio subscriptions: Standalone coffee subscription PDP - for customers who already own our brewer and just want beans on subscription Brewer + subscription bundle PDP - our Signature Brew Kit (pureover.com/products/signature-brew-kit) as a one-time purchase with a recurring coffee bean subscription added on top, in a single checkout flow What We're Going For IM8's subscription PDP (im8health.com) is very close to what we want. Specifically: - Top variant selector - IM8 uses "Select Flavor"; ours will be "Select Ground / Whole Bean Coffee" with product imagery - One clean choice - subscribe or one-time purchase, presented as cards right on the page. No dropdowns to hunt through. - Value flags - "Save 30%" pill and "Best Value" corner flag on the featured plan - Slashed pricing - sale price with strikethrough original, plus billing cadence shown clearly - Cost per serving - e.g. "$0.85 / cup" - Checkmark confidence boosters - short benefit list under the plan (free shipping, cancel anytime, money-back guarantee, etc.) - Smart add to cart - defaults to subscription, with an easy toggle to switch to one-time purchase - Welcome kit section - image row showing what arrives with the first order We'll share annotated screenshots of the IM8 page in the interview. Scope of Work Design mockups for both PDP variations (mobile-first, then desktop) Build both pages on our Shopify theme with clean, maintainable code Integrate Skio for subscription logic (plan selection, subscribe/one-time toggle, cart behavior) Ensure fast page load and no conflicts with existing theme functionality QA across devices and browsers Handoff documentation so our team can update copy, pricing, and imagery ourselves Required Skills Strong Shopify theme development (Liquid, JS, CSS) Skio experience strongly preferred; other subscription apps (Recharge, Stay AI) acceptable if you can show you'll ramp fast Proven eye for conversion-focused e-commerce design - you should be comfortable owning both the design and the build Portfolio of PDPs or subscription flows you designed AND developed To Apply Please include: - 2-3 links to Shopify PDPs or subscription pages you designed and built, with a note on what you owned - Your experience with Skio (or comparable subscription platform) - Estimated timeline and fixed-price quote for the scope above - Start with the word "POUR" so we know you read the full post Timeline & Budget We're looking to move quickly and can start immediately.
