Shopify Diesel Parts Catalog Cleanup: Fitment, CSVs & Feeds

I am looking for an experienced Shopify / e-commerce catalog specialist to help complete and organize a diesel parts website. This is not a basic Shopify theme-design job. We need someone who is comfortable working with large automotive parts catalogs, supplier data, CSV imports, product cleanup, fitment structure, Shopify apps, metafields, collections, navigation, pricing, inventory, and image matching. I currently have a large diesel parts catalog already uploaded/imported, with roughly 4,000 priority in-stock products that need to be cleaned up, organized, and prepared for launch. The broader catalog may continue expanding over time through supplier feeds. Primary scope of work: Review and clean imported Shopify product data Organize products by category, brand, part type, and diesel application Create or refine automated collections Improve site navigation so customers can shop by part type, vehicle/engine family, brand, SKU, and fitment Help structure Year/Make/Model or vehicle fitment data using Shopify metafields, tags, or a fitment app Clean up product titles, product types, tags, vendors, descriptions, and SEO basics Match or correct product images from supplier/vendor image URLs where available Troubleshoot pricing, inventory, and vendor feed issues Help prepare safe Shopify CSV imports/updates without damaging existing product data Recommend best practices for ongoing supplier feed management Improve product page usability for diesel parts customers Help identify missing or poor-quality product data before launch Ideal experience: Shopify product catalog management Automotive, powersports, heavy-duty, diesel, or parts-store experience Large CSV import/export work Shopify metafields and bulk product editing Vehicle fitment / Year-Make-Model tools Supplier feed cleanup and mapping Matrixify, Stock Sync, Search & Discovery, or similar Shopify apps Comfort working with SKUs, inventory quantities, pricing files, image URL files, and product tags Ability to explain what changes are being made before applying them Important requirements: Must be able to work carefully with existing Shopify product data Must understand the difference between product organization, fitment data, collections, tags, and navigation Must be willing to work in phases and test imports before making large changes Must not blindly overwrite product data without backups and review Must be able to communicate clearly and provide progress updates Project goal: The goal is to create a professional diesel parts website that customers can easily search and browse by vehicle, engine family, category, brand, part type, SKU, and fitment, while keeping pricing, inventory, images, and product data accurate and scalable.
