Shopify Website Developer Needed – Migrate Existing Squarespace Website to Shopify Project Overview We're looking for an experienced Shopify developer to build a Shopify website based on an existing Squarespace website. The website design has already been completed, so this is primarily a development project rather than a design project. We need someone who can accurately recreate the existing design and functionality within Shopify while following best practices. Scope of Work The successful freelancer will be responsible for: Building a new Shopify website that matches the existing website design. Recreating all key pages from the current Squarespace website. Setting up the Shopify theme and ensuring it is responsive across desktop, tablet and mobile devices. Migrating website content from Squarespace to Shopify. Setting up navigation, collections and product pages (if applicable). Configuring standard Shopify functionality including contact forms, search, policies and other core features. Ensuring the website is SEO-friendly, including: Page titles Meta descriptions URL structure (where appropriate) Image optimisation Redirects from the existing Squarespace URLs Testing the website across major browsers and devices before handover. Providing a clean, organised build that can be easily managed after launch. Requirements Please only apply if you: Have extensive experience building Shopify websites. Can share examples of Shopify websites you've developed. Have experience migrating websites from Squarespace (preferred but not essential). Understand Shopify best practices and performance optimisation. Have good knowledge of technical SEO. Communicate clearly and provide regular project updates.
