Job Description: We are a premium pet nutrition and supplement brand looking for a senior-level Shopify developer to build a high-performance, conversion-focused e-commerce store. Our brand focuses on functional nutrition and personalized health for pets. We require a developer who can move beyond standard Shopify themes to implement a complex, custom-coded customer journey that integrates subscription models, health profiling, and AI-driven recommendations. Project Scope & Key Functionality 1. Foundation & UX Design Retail Store Structure: Clean, premium aesthetic focused on trust, authority, and high conversion rates. UI/UX Architecture: Mobile-first design, high-speed load times, and a frictionless checkout process. Sidebar Summary: Implementation of a dynamic "mini-cart/summary" sidebar that tracks bundle progress and savings in real-time. 2. Personalization & AI Integration Health Profile Onboarding: Create an interactive "Pet Health Quiz" that collects data on pet breed, age, activity level, and health concerns. AI Recommendation Engine: Logic-based integration to recommend specific functional foods or supplements based on the data captured in the health profile. Members-Only Portal: A secure area where members can access an "AI Online Advice Page" for tailored supplement and wellness guidance. 3. Subscription & Membership Systems Subscription Bundle Logic: Build a robust subscription/recurring revenue model (e.g., build-a-box, tiered subscriptions). Membership Discounts: Tiered loyalty and discount structures integrated seamlessly with the checkout process. 4. Product & Category Management Full configuration of functional pet food and supplement categories. Advanced filtering/search to ensure customers find specific solutions quickly. Technical Requirements Extensive experience with Shopify Plus (or high-tier Shopify development). Proficiency with Liquid, Javascript, and integrating 3rd party AI APIs into Shopify. Proven track record with subscription apps (e.g., Recharge, Bold) and custom bundle builders. Experience in optimizing checkout flows for high AOV (Average Order Value).
