Summary

I own Elevate Life Publishing, an independent publishing company focused on books that help people grow, learn, and improve their lives. Our current catalog includes books for girls growing up, women's health topics, and other personal development content. Additional categories and future book lines, will be added over time. I am looking for a skilled Showit website specialist who can efficiently implement updates, improve organization, and help create a better experience for visitors. This is not a full website redesign. The site is already built and functioning. I am looking for someone who can quickly understand the objective, make thoughtful recommendations when appropriate, and execute without requiring excessive supervision. If we work well together, I would like to have someone I can return to periodically for future updates and projects. Initial Project Scope: Bookshelf Reorganization The current bookshelf page displays all books on a single page. I would like The Bookshelf reorganized into category-based navigation. Examples of categories include: Girl Growing Up Women's Health Natural Health Future Categories Visitors should be able to click a category and be taken to a dedicated page containing books within that category. Primary Task: Create category-specific pages that include: Book cover images Book descriptions Amazon purchase links Kindle purchase links Mobile-friendly layout Consistent branding and styling Most book information already exists on the website and simply needs to be reorganized and placed appropriately. Secondary Task: Add Audiobook Section in each Category: Possbibly name it: "Prefer to Listen?" This section should display: Audible audiobook covers Audible purchase/listening links Clean and professional presentation Required Experience: Strong experience working in Showit Experience updating existing websites Experience organizing content-heavy websites Strong attention to detail Excellent mobile optimization skills Good design instincts Bonus experience (if you have it): Author websites Book publishing websites Lead generation pages Basic SEO knowledge Kit (formerly ConvertKit) integrations Email opt-in forms What I'm Looking For: Communicate clearly and concisely Follows directions Meet deadlines Take initiative Think through problems before asking questions Make reasonable recommendations when appropriate Respect my time I am not looking for someone who needs extensive meetings, lengthy discovery calls, or constant direction before every task. I appreciate thoughtful questions when needed, but I prefer working with people who can review the objective, identify the best solution, and move the project forward efficiently. Project Structure I would prefer to start with a fixed-price project for the work outlined above. If the relationship is a good fit, I expect future projects throughout the year on an as-needed basis. This is not expected to be a monthly retainer. Application Instructions To be considered, please include the following: 1. Start your proposal with the word "Bookshelf." 2. Share the Showit websites you have personally worked on. (no more than three) 3. Briefly explain your role on each project. 4. Provide an estimated timeline for completing the initial project. 5. Provide your fixed-price estimate. 6. Tell me one improvement you would make to an author website to improve user experience and conversions. Future Opportunities The right person may become my preferred website specialist for future projects including: New book launch pages Lead magnet pages Free Library reorganization and expansion Category expansion Website optimization Conversion improvements General Showit updates Adding new lead magnets/freebies Updating links Updating graphics Creating simple landing pages Mobile optimization Layout improvements General website maintenance I value long-term working relationships and would love to find someone dependable who can become my go-to person whenever website updates are needed.
