Skincare Formula Chemist

We’re developing a targeted skincare stick line and are looking for an experienced cosmetic formulation chemist to help refine early product concepts into stable, manufacturable formulas. The products are primarily anhydrous twist-up skincare sticks using peptide-based actives and cosmetic-support ingredients. We need someone who understands hot-pour stick formats, peptide stability, active dispersion, skin feel, payoff, melt point, packaging compatibility, and scale-up considerations. Initial scope: Review early formula concepts Advise on feasibility, stability, and ingredient compatibility Refine formulas into bench-ready cosmetic lab briefs Provide processing notes, phase order, temperature guidance, and testing recommendations Help optimize for elegant texture, manufacturability, and realistic production cost Ideal candidate: Cosmetic formulation chemist with skincare experience Experience with anhydrous balms, treatment sticks, lip balms, deodorant-style sticks, or other hot-pour products Familiarity with peptides and sensitive cosmetic actives Understands U.S. cosmetic claim boundaries Able to support formulas from concept through lab sampling and manufacturer handoff Please include: Examples of relevant skincare or stick/balm products you’ve formulated Your experience with peptide-based cosmetic formulas Your process for taking a concept to a bench-ready formula Estimated timeline and cost for an initial formula review milestone Additional product details and formula briefs will be shared with shortlisted candidates.
