Social Media Community Moderator

Summary Rate: $7 USD/hour Schedule: 3 short check-ins per day, spaced across 9:30am – 7:00pm Australian Eastern Time (AEST/AEDT) Days: 7 days a week if you want the extra hour (5 days a week also works) Type: Ongoing, long-term About us We're a fast-growing Australian direct-to-consumer beauty brand with a big, friendly community across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and email. Our customers are lovely, our tone is warm and playful, and most of the questions we get are the same handful of things over and over: "how do I apply it?", "where's my order?", "will this work on hooded eyes?" We're looking for someone reliable and upbeat to look after that community day to day. What you'll do - Log in 3 times a day and clear comments, DMs and messages across all channels - Answer common customer questions using our FAQ document, most replies are copy, paste and lightly personalise - Hide or remove spam and genuinely abusive comments - Flag anything unusual (an order problem, a complaint, a PR opportunity) to us rather than guessing - Keep replies in our brand voice: warm, friendly, helpful, never stiff or corporate Why this role is easy to fit around other work - The checks are short. Each one is typically 10–15 minutes. - Everything is in one place. All channels feed into a single dashboard, so there's no hopping between apps or logins. - You're not writing from scratch. We have a detailed FAQ doc with approved answers for almost everything that comes in. - You choose your check times, as long as the three checks are reasonably spaced within the 9:30am–7:00pm AEST window. - Training provided What we need from you - Availability inside our window is essential. Please only apply if being online at points between 9:30am and 7:00pm Australian Eastern Time genuinely suits your routine long term. - Excellent written English with a natural, friendly tone Reliable and self-managing, you do the checks without being chased - Comfortable using a social media inbox/dashboard tool - Good judgement about when to answer and when to escalate - Own initiative to find answers in provided docs and website We read every application properly and reply to everyone we shortlist.
