Social Media Manager Needed for Pokémon TCG Marketplace Brand
Worldwide
Job Description: We are looking for a social media manager to help run and grow MISPRINT’s social media presence across Instagram, TikTok, X, YouTube Shorts, and Discord. MISPRINT is a Pokémon card marketplace and community brand built around cleaner buying, selling, pricing, trust, and collector culture. This role is for someone who can help turn MISPRINT into a consistent, trusted voice in the Pokémon card and TCG community. We do not want generic brand posting. We want content that feels native to the hobby, builds trust, drives Discord growth, supports creator partnerships, and educates collectors. The right person understands that social media is not just posting. It is distribution, community-building, trust-building, positioning, and feedback collection. Responsibilities: Manage MISPRINT’s content calendar. Plan and schedule posts across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, X, and Discord. Work with the founder, graphic designer, video editor, and creator outreach VA to keep content moving. Turn founder ideas, marketplace insights, card trends, and community discussions into post ideas. Write captions, hooks, and short-form post copy. Coordinate content around product updates, Discord growth, giveaways, creator collaborations, and marketplace education. Track what content performs and suggest improvements. Engage with relevant creators, collectors, and community comments. Help make MISPRINT feel active, trustworthy, and present in the Pokémon card space. Organize content ideas, statuses, and publishing schedule in Notion. Content Pillars: Pokémon card market transparency. Collector education. Bid/ask marketplace education. Raw vs graded card conversations. Recent sales and price movement. MISPRINT platform updates. Founder-led trust-building content. Community polls and Discord prompts. Creator collaborations. Collector pain points. Marketplace comparisons. Giveaways and community events. Funny or relatable hobby content. Card show / hobby culture commentary. Platforms: Instagram TikTok YouTube Shorts X Discord Notion You Should Be Good At: Social media strategy. Content planning. Writing hooks and captions. Understanding creator-style content. Spotting trends. Turning ideas into posts. Keeping a content calendar organized. Community engagement. Working with designers and editors. Making a brand feel human, not corporate. Ideal Candidate: You have managed social media for a creator, startup, marketplace, collectibles brand, gaming brand, sports brand, e-commerce brand, or community-led company. You understand that trust matters in collector markets. MISPRINT needs to sound like a sharp, honest participant in the hobby, not a faceless company trying to sell people something. You do not need to be a Pokémon expert, but you should be willing to learn the hobby quickly. Experience in Pokémon, TCG, sports cards, collectibles, gaming, or marketplace communities is a major plus. Important: This role is not just about posting pretty graphics. We need someone who can help build a social operating system: content ideas, scheduling, creator coordination, engagement, reporting, and iteration. Weekly Responsibilities: Build and maintain the weekly content calendar. Prepare captions and hooks. Coordinate with graphic designer and video editor. Schedule posts. Monitor comments and engagement. Identify content ideas from community conversations. Track performance. Send a weekly report with what worked, what did not, and what should be tested next. Corporate filler content. Random posting with no strategy. Someone who only schedules posts but does not think. Someone who cannot adapt to a niche community. Someone who makes the brand sound like a SaaS company instead of a collector-first marketplace. Bonus Points: Experience with Pokémon, TCG, sports cards, grading, collectibles, Discord communities, or creator-led brands. Experience growing Instagram or TikTok accounts. Experience with Notion content calendars. Experience managing social for startups. Experience coordinating with creators or influencers. Experience writing strong short-form hooks. How you would approach MISPRINT’s content strategy in the first 30 days. 5. Your hourly or monthly rate. Also, please include the phrase “hobby trust” somewhere in your application so I know you read the full post.
