Summary

Supply Chain Manager — Sourcing, Freight, 3PL & Amazon FBA (Ecom/Shopify DTC Subscription Portfolio) We run a portfolio of 8 direct-to-consumer subscription brands doing eight figures annually. Our fulfillment is currently held together by one person who is also running customer support and disputes — and it's costing us. We need someone who owns supply chain and nothing else. Right now our stock ships from overseas suppliers on the cheapest freight line available, which means 14–20 day transit to the customer. That's too slow. Slow delivery drives refunds, chargebacks, and churn — and in our business, churn is the whole game. We want to move a majority of our volume to US-based inventory and US-based manufacturing, and we want someone who knows how to actually get that done. What you'll own: Demand forecasting. Our shopify based brands are subscription-based, which means a large share of next month's orders are already known before the month starts. You'll use that to keep US stock ahead of demand and make sure there's always a PO in transit against a 30-day lead time. Supplier negotiation. Unit cost, MOQs, lead times, payment terms — with our existing overseas suppliers and with new ones. You'll be pushing on price and pushing on speed, constantly. Freight and shipping lines. Evaluating line options, negotiating rates, and making the call on where extra cost per unit buys back more than it costs us in retention. US sourcing and manufacturing. Finding and qualifying US contract manufacturers for our winning SKUs. This is the highest-leverage part of the role. Warehousing, 3PL, customs, inbound logistics. Sourcing, negotiating, and managing US warehouse partners end to end. Amazon FBA readiness. We can't scale Amazon on overseas fulfillment — China → 3PL → FBA is too many hops and too much lead time. US-manufactured stock ships direct to FBA. Brands our size pull 20%+ of revenue off Amazon as pure spillover with no dedicated traffic. You'll build the supply side that makes that a real channel for us. COGS reduction. Ongoing. Every dollar you take out of landed cost is a dollar we put back into growth. New SKU launches. When a brand wants to test a new product, you're the one sourcing it, negotiating it, and getting it in stock before the ads go live. Inventory timing is currently our constraint on launch dates. It shouldn't be. Who we're looking for: You've run supply chain for a DTC ecommerce brand doing real volume — not theory, not a degree, actual scars You've negotiated with overseas suppliers and won, and you're comfortable leading those calls yourself You know the difference between FOB and DDP and why it matters to your P&L You've sent inventory into Amazon FBA and know where that process breaks You understand landed cost, not just unit cost You can look at a lead time and a burn rate and tell us when to reorder without being asked You can work across both Asia and US business hours. Our suppliers are in one; our warehouses, manufacturers, and customers are in the other You communicate proactively. If something's going to be late, we hear it from you before we hear it from a customer Who we're not looking for: Agencies or teams. We want one person who owns this. Someone who needs a task list. You'll be given problems, not instructions. Someone juggling four other clients. To apply: answer the questions below. Start your proposal with the word FREDO so we know you read this.
