Senior Systems Administrator & Google Workspace Migration Specialist (US Hours) Overview We are seeking an experienced Systems Administrator to support a 35-seat call center environment while leading a modernization initiative focused on migrating legacy infrastructure to Google Workspace. This role will begin with a comprehensive assessment and migration project and transition into ongoing administration, support, documentation, and process improvement. The ideal candidate has experience supporting small to mid-sized businesses, understands call center technology, can work independently, communicates clearly, and is comfortable owning projects from planning through execution. This is a long-term position with growth opportunities as additional client environments are onboarded. --- Important Requirements * Must work full US business hours * Required schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Central Time (US) * Candidates outside the United States are welcome to apply if they can consistently work US Central Time hours * Strong English communication skills are required * Reliable high-speed internet and dedicated workspace required --- Primary Project: Google Workspace Migration The first major initiative will be planning and executing a migration from legacy infrastructure to Google Workspace. Responsibilities include: * Assess current infrastructure and dependencies * Design migration strategy * Configure Google Workspace * Configure Gmail and user accounts * Design Shared Drive structure * Migrate files and permissions * Implement MFA and security policies * Configure Google Groups * Create documentation and SOPs * Train users during migration * Provide post-migration support Candidates should have prior experience performing Google Workspace migrations. --- Current Environment Current systems may include: * Windows 11 workstations * Active Directory * VPN services * pfSense firewalls * VICIdial call center platform * VoIP systems and SIP carriers * Time tracking systems * WordPress website * Backup systems * Legacy infrastructure currently being evaluated for consolidation --- Responsibilities End User Support * User onboarding and offboarding * Password resets * Email troubleshooting * Workstation support * VPN support * Printer and peripheral support * General user assistance Systems Administration * Google Workspace administration * Identity and access management * User account management * Endpoint administration * Security monitoring * Backup verification * Vendor coordination Network & Security * Firewall administration * VPN administration * Security reviews * Access control management * Incident response Call Center Support * VICIdial administration * Basic dialer troubleshooting * Carrier coordination * Agent support * Escalation management Documentation * Create and maintain SOPs * Maintain infrastructure documentation * Maintain asset inventories * Document migrations and changes * Build knowledge base articles --- Required Skills * 3+ years of Systems Administration experience * Google Workspace administration * Windows 10/11 administration * Active Directory administration * VPN administration * Network troubleshooting * Excellent written and verbal English * Strong documentation skills * Ability to work independently --- Preferred Skills * Google Workspace migrations * VICIdial * Asterisk * VoIP systems * SIP carriers * pfSense * Linux administration * WordPress administration * MSP experience * Call center technology experience --- Bonus Skills (Nice to Have) These skills are not required but are highly valued: * Familiarity with Claude Code * Familiarity with AI-assisted development workflows * Experience deploying applications with Vercel * Experience deploying applications with Railway * Familiarity with Supabase * Understanding of APIs and integrations * Experience supporting development teams * Experience working in startup or entrepreneurial environments --- Success Metrics First 30 Days * Complete infrastructure assessment * Review all systems and documentation * Identify risks and optimization opportunities * Create Google Workspace migration plan First 60 Days * Begin migration activities * Improve documentation * Implement security improvements * Reduce operational bottlenecks First 90 Days * Successfully complete Google Workspace migration * Establish standardized support procedures * Reduce dependency on legacy infrastructure * Deliver complete SOP and system documentation --- Application Instructions Please include the following in your application: 1.
