Tech Support & Moderator — Live Virtual Sessions

Hone (www.honehq.com) is a high-growth, VC-backed leadership development platform that delivers live, virtual leadership, DEI, and AI transformation training to companies around the world. We're looking for a Tech Support & Moderator to support our facilitators during AMA Masterclasses — conversation-forward, practitioner-led sessions where learners engage directly with expert facilitators. We run multiple live programs every week, so we need someone highly detailed, calm under pressure, responsive to learner needs, and comfortable tracking several moving pieces (chat, attendance, breakout rooms, and facilitator cues) at once. Key Responsibilities - Run-of-Show Management - Operate Zoom for each session: admit learners from the waiting room and manage the overall flow of the session - Launch and manage polls and Q&A features - Set up and administer breakout rooms (sessions can run up to 150 learners) Facilitator Support - Act as the facilitator's right hand throughout the session, handling logistics and support so they can stay fully focused on delivering content and engaging with learners - Monitor the chat and surface key questions, ideas, and themes to the facilitator in real time Technical Troubleshooting - Provide real-time support for learners experiencing login issues, audio/video problems, screen sharing difficulties, or connection drops - Help learners open or access session documents and materials - Communicate clearly and calmly to guide distressed or less tech-savvy participants through fixes Key Skills - Excellent working knowledge of Zoom and all of its features (breakout rooms, polling, waiting room, chat, screen share) - Strong written and verbal communication — clear, calm, and professional under pressure - Customer support mindset: patient, responsive, and able to multitask in a fast-paced, live environment - Comfortable digesting and tracking multiple sources of information simultaneously (chat, facilitator needs, run-of-show) Bonus Skills - Background in Learning Experience (LX), instructional design, or virtual event production - High interest in leadership development, DEI, or AI transformation topics - Experience moderating AMA-style, panel, or interactive discussion formats Position Details - Type: Independent contractor - Hours: Approximately 2–5 hours per week, with potential to grow as our AMA Masterclass schedule expands - Format: Fully remote; sessions run live on Zoom To Apply Please include: 1.
