Technical Footwear Designer for Startup

We are an emerging sports brand based in Dublin, Ireland, developing an innovative, direct-to-consumer (DTC) football/Soccer boot. Our mission is entirely focused on delivering superior product durability, premium comfort, and honest pricing to grassroots and amateur players. We are looking for an expert, professional Footwear Designer/Engineer to transform our initial structural ideas and performance criteria into factory-ready production assets. We are engineering specific mechanical features to combat common boot failure points (like sole separation and premature upper tearing), the exact product blueprints, custom material zones, and innovative design features will be shared under a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) with shortlisted candidates prior to the interview stage. Your core responsibilities will include: Refining our functional brief into clear 2D aesthetic and structural concepts. Developing a comprehensive 2D Tech Pack detailing precise material callouts, reinforcement stitching specs, and assembly tolerances. Modeling and delivering finalized, factory-compliant 3D CAD files for the upper pattern layout and the molded TPU outsole structure. Required Deliverables:2D Technical Specification Sheets (Tech Packs) with precise factory callouts.Final, error-free 3D CAD data (.STP or .IGS format) for tooling and injection molding. Requirements: A proven design portfolio featuring technical footwear (direct experience with football boots, cleated shoes, or performance athletic footwear is a massive advantage).Deep structural understanding of footwear lasts, material stress thresholds, and real-world manufacturing constraints. Absolute willingness to sign a standard Unilateral NDA via electronic signature before moving to an interview call.
