Technical Lead Vetter.
Worldwide
About the company We are a B2B marketing agency serving fabrication shops, engineering firms, and construction service providers across North America. Our clients operate in technical industries where buyers are engineers, operations managers, and procurement teams who expect to speak with someone who understands their world. This is not a generic call center environment. The conversations are technical, the callers are sophisticated, and the standard is high. About the role As a Lead Technical Vetter, you are the first voice a prospect hears on behalf of our clients. Your job is to have professional, intelligent conversations, gather the right information, and provide complete, accurate lead summaries so sales teams can quickly evaluate opportunities and determine the appropriate next steps. You will handle inbound and follow-up calls for clients across a variety of industries. Success in this role comes from your ability to build rapport, ask thoughtful questions, listen actively, and document information accurately. While experience in fabrication, engineering, construction, or industrial services is a valuable advantage, it is not required. We can teach industry-specific terminology; strong communication skills, professionalism, and curiosity are much harder to teach. What You Will Do Answer inbound calls and conduct follow-up conversations on behalf of multiple clients. Conduct professional lead qualification conversations to understand a prospect's needs, objectives, timeline, budget, and decision-making process. Gather complete and accurate information through effective questioning and active listening. Summarize calls clearly and enter structured lead notes into CRM platforms. Follow up with prospects by phone and email to obtain missing information or confirm next steps. Collaborate with client sales teams to ensure seamless lead handoff. Maintain a professional and consultative approach in every interaction. What We Are Looking For: The One Non-Negotiable Native or near-native English fluency, both spoken and written. You must be able to hold natural, confident conversations with business owners, decision-makers, and professionals across the United States. Near-native fluency is the minimum requirement, not merely a preference. Strong Candidates Will Have Most of These Experience in a customer-facing role involving phone-based communication. Exceptional verbal communication and active listening skills. Ability to ask insightful questions and guide conversations effectively. Strong attention to detail and note-taking abilities. Experience using CRM platforms, Excel, Google Workspace, or similar business tools. Professional written communication skills for lead summaries and follow-up emails. Ability to work independently and manage multiple conversations and priorities. Reliable internet connection and a quiet, professional workspace. Strong Bonuses While not required, the following experience will help you ramp up more quickly: Experience in fabrication, manufacturing, engineering, construction, industrial services, healthcare, professional services, or other technical industries. Experience qualifying leads or conducting discovery calls. Sales support, account management, customer success, or business development experience. Exposure to project-based businesses where gathering detailed information is important. Experience speaking with technical professionals, engineers, project managers, or business owners. Ideal Backgrounds: Successful candidates often come from backgrounds such as: Customer Success Representative Account Manager Lead Qualification Specialist Appointment Setter Business Development Representative (BDR) Inside Sales Representative Client Services Coordinator Project Coordinator Healthcare Scheduling or Patient Support Specialist Technical Support Representative Recruiter or Talent Acquisition Specialist Candidates from fabrication, engineering, manufacturing, or construction environments are highly encouraged to apply but are not required. What This Role Is Not This is not a sales closing role. You are not responsible for closing deals or carrying a sales quota. This is not an estimating role. Your responsibility is gathering and documenting information, not producing quotes. This is not a general administrative role. Strong communication and qualification skills are essential. This is not a script-reading call center position. The role requires critical thinking, professionalism, and the ability to adapt conversations based on the prospect's needs.
