Technical Lead for a SaaS Company

Omnito is looking for a visionary Technical Lead to steer our engineering team toward the next generation of SaaS excellence. In this role, you will balance high-level architectural strategy with hands-on development, ensuring our platform is scalable, secure, and built using the most efficient modern methodologies—including AI-augmented engineering. Core Technical Responsibilities Architecture & Strategy: Design and approve the core system architecture, ensuring it supports long-term scalability and peak performance. Tech Stack Ownership: Evaluate and select programming languages, frameworks, and cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP) that align with our evolving needs. Roadmap Management: Create and maintain a Technical Debt Roadmap that balances infrastructure health with business growth priorities. Quality & Standards: Set and enforce rigorous coding standards and perform critical code reviews to prevent long-term maintenance hurdles. Hands-on Engineering: Remain active in the codebase, spending approximately 30% of your time writing code for critical components or complex features. Technical Sales Support: Partner with Sales and Success teams to serve as the technical authority during high-stakes discovery calls and demonstrations for enterprise clients. AI Leadership & Innovation AI-Augmented Development: Act as the internal champion for Claude AI, integrating it into the engineering workflow to accelerate development cycles. AI Mentorship: Promote and train the team on using Claude for automated unit testing, code refactoring, and rapid prototyping to make coding easier and more efficient. Workflow Optimization: Identify opportunities to leverage LLMs to reduce boilerplate and solve complex debugging tasks faster. Team & Process Leadership Mentorship: Guide junior and senior developers through pair programming, workshops, and constructive technical feedback. Velocity & Delivery: Identify and remove technical hurdles to maintain high team velocity. Metrics-Driven Growth: Track engineering metrics (e.g., code quality, deployment frequency) to continuously optimize delivery. Stakeholder Communication: Translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable updates for Product Managers and executive leadership. POSITION REQUIREMENTS Technical Lead – Min 2+ years experience as a Tech Lead / Team Lead / Architect. Expert Coder – Min 7+ years Salesforce developer considered an expert in Lightning, Apex, Visualforce, Javascript, HTML5, CSS, Bootstrap, SOAP/REST API, and more. Platform Expert – Min 7+ years of experience in Salesforce platform expertise from both an administrator and developer viewpoint: including user provisioning, sharing model, fls, email services, work flows, validation rules, data model, classic vs lightning, data migration / data loader, dev console, and more. Deep expertise in cloud-native infrastructure and scalable system design. Expert-level proficiency with Claude AI (or similar LLMs) to optimize engineering workflows. A "lead by example" mindset with a passion for clean code and developer empowerment. Development Best Practices – Must have extensive knowledge of development tools (Jira, LeanKit, etc), environment management (dev, uat, packaging, patch), code review process, code backup, version control, and more. Salesforce Certified – Not required, however, candidates with any of the following certifications is preferred: Platform Developer I, Platform Developer II, Technical Architect, Platform App Builder
