Summary

Business Development Representative (BDR) – Contract (GovTech / SaaS) Conflation Labs is building an AI assistant for city planning and zoning that helps municipalities automate site plan reviews, zoning ordinance research, and permit workflows. We modernize how cities make land use decisions with geospatial intelligence and AI. We’re looking for a contract BDR to generate qualified pipeline with city and county governments, planning departments, and related public-sector teams. This role is perfect for someone with government SaaS experience who loves outbound prospecting and wants a clear path to a full-time sales role. What you’ll do Build and manage a target list of municipal and public-sector accounts Run high-activity outbound (cold calls, email, LinkedIn) to book discovery meetings Use HubSpot and Instantly to execute and optimize outbound sequences Qualify prospects’ planning, zoning, and permitting workflows and align them to our AI solutions Keep our CRM clean with accurate notes, dispositions, and next steps Hit and exceed monthly targets for meetings and qualified opportunities What we’re looking for 1–2+ years in an outbound BDR/SDR or similar prospecting role Proven experience selling into government/public-sector customers, ideally in SaaS Strong proficiency with HubSpot and hands-on experience with Instantly (or similar tools) Excellent written and spoken English and comfort with high-volume outreach Self-starter who thrives in a remote, fast-moving startup environment Compensation and path Remote, hourly contract role Hourly rate + performance-based bonus tied to meetings and qualified pipeline Clear path to full-time for high performers as the team scales If this sounds like you, send your resume and a short note about your government SaaS sales experience and recent outbound results
