Travel Operations Specialist

For over 20 years, our U.S.-based luxury travel concierge has provided personalized travel services to discerning clients. We are seeking an experienced Travel Operations Specialist to provide operational support behind the scenes. This is not a general virtual assistant position. Applicants must have prior experience working in the travel industry, ideally with an independent travel agency, and be comfortable handling day-to-day travel operations with minimal supervision. The right candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and understands the urgency required when managing airline reservations and client travel. Responsibilities - Monitor and follow up on airline refunds - Manage unused ticket tracking - Handle airline schedule changes - Complete online airline check-ins - Track and manage frequent flyer and mileage accounts - Track reservations and travel documentation - Communicate professionally with airlines - Assist with general travel operations and administrative tasks Required Qualifications - Minimum 5 years of travel industry experience - Experience working for an independent travel agency - Sabre experience, with strong command line proficiency (not just graphical interface) - Near-fluent English is required. Applicants must have exceptional written and spoken English and be able to communicate professionally with U.S.-based clients and airlines. - Strong understanding of airline ticketing, exchanges, and refunds - Exceptional attention to detail - Reliable high-speed internet and quiet home office - Ability to work a flexible schedule and adjust hours as business needs require, including occasional evenings, weekends, or holidays Preferred Qualifications Luxury leisure travel experience Corporate or VIP travel experience Experience supporting an independent luxury travel concierge serving high-net-worth and VIP clients Application Instructions Please include the following in your application: A summary of your travel industry experience, including any work with independent travel agencies.
