URGENT: Fixing PDF formatting issues - Make it best-practice
Worldwide
We have a 7-page insurance declarations PDF where the visible text appears to be vector/outlined text, so normal PDF text selection/copying does not work properly. Prior attempts using invisible text overlays were not good enough. We need a PDF expert to fix this properly. The final PDF must look visually identical to the original, but all text must be real selectable/copyable PDF text. If needed, the PDF should be rebuilt from scratch instead of patched. This is not just OCR. The final result must preserve the exact legal language, layout, spacing, tables, blue headers, gray form fields, checkbox sizing, footers, and page numbering. Important Requirements: - Recreate the PDF with real embedded/selectable text. - Preserve the legal language exactly, with no OCR errors or wording changes. - Preserve the visual look exactly: layout, margins, colors, tables, boxes, headers, and footer/page labels. - Keep form fields clean and consistent. - Normal editable field font size should be consistent across the document. - Endorsement table fields may use a smaller consistent font size. - Checkbox boxes must be the same size throughout. - Text copy/paste must work in normal PDF readers, not just with a Python extraction library. - The PDF should remain easy to read and professional. Font Requirements Please identify and match the original document fonts as closely as possible. The current working expectation is: - Serif heading font: match the original title/section-header style exactly. - The font for titles is Made Awelier, and for the body is sequel sans. - Body text: match the original sans-serif/body style exactly. - Normal field text size: 10.5 pt. - Endorsement table field (Item 5) text size: 8 pt. - Font usage must be consistent across all 7 pages. Deliverables - Final corrected PDF. - Brief notes explaining the method used. - Confirmation that the final file passes: - visual comparison against the original; - text selection/copy test in a normal PDF reader; - text extraction test showing readable text on all 7 pages; - no duplicated/invisible overlay text issues; - consistent checkbox sizing and field font sizing. Ideal Experience - Advanced PDF engineering. - ReportLab, Adobe Acrobat Pro, InDesign, LaTeX, pypdf, PyMuPDF, or similar. - Experience rebuilding complex forms/PDF templates. - Strong attention to typography, spacing, and visual QA.
