Unreal Engine Consultant Needed | Pixel Streaming, Multiplayer & Web Integration

ABOUT US We are Protégé Game Studios (PGS), a game development studio that creates interactive experiences through game development, simulations, and educational technology projects. We are looking for an experienced Unreal Engine consultant to help support architecture decisions and technical validation for an immersive web-accessible environment project. This is NOT a full project handoff. We have an internal team handling project management, Unreal development, and software/backend work. We are looking for a specialist to help reduce technical risk and provide guidance in key technical areas. PROJECT OVERVIEW We are building an Unreal Engine environment accessible through a website using Pixel Streaming. Project goals include: * Browser-accessible Unreal environment * Website-to-Unreal identity/session bridging * Interactive environments/storefronts * Pixel Streaming deployment * Future multiplayer capabilities * Backend and data integration WHAT WE NEED HELP WITH We are specifically looking for experience in: * Unreal Engine architecture * Pixel Streaming * Multiplayer architecture/networking * API and web integrations * Browser deployment considerations * Backend architecture recommendations * Technical risk identification INITIAL ENGAGEMENT This engagement is intended to start small. Initial goals: * Review requirements and architecture direction * Participate in technical discussions with our internal team * Identify major risks and unknowns * Recommend implementation approaches * Provide guidance on best practices Work structure: * Milestone-based consulting work * Small initial engagement * Potential future work depending on fit WHAT WE VALUE * Strong communication * Practical experience over buzzwords * Honest feedback when something is high risk * Documentation and clear explanations * Collaborative mindset with small teams PLEASE INCLUDE * Relevant Unreal Engine experience * Pixel Streaming experience * Multiplayer experience * Examples of API/web integrations * Experience with browser-accessible Unreal projects * Availability for meetings with an EST-based team TEAM STRUCTURE You would be supporting a small internal team consisting of: * Project Manager * Unreal Developer * Software / Backend Engineer Our goal is to supplement internal capabilities, not fully outsource development. IMPORTANT NOTE We are specifically looking for architecture support, technical validation, and consulting guidance. We are not looking to hand off the project to another team.
