I am looking for an experienced Unreal Engine developer and/or game designer to help plan and develop a story-driven football game prototype for PC and console. The vision is a football game that combines realistic graphics and presentation with hard-hitting, high-intensity gameplay. The game will feature a fictional professional football league with multiple divisions, player progression, injuries, rivalries, team management elements, and a narrative-driven campaign. Key features include: • Realistic stadiums, players, and broadcast-style presentation • Story-driven career mode with character development and decision-making • Multiple league divisions with promotion and progression systems • Dynamic injury system where player health and career choices impact gameplay • Team rivalries, media interactions, and off-field story elements • Detailed player statistics, progression, and reputation systems • Arcade-inspired physicality while maintaining authentic football gameplay Dirty hit mechanics that allow players to make aggressive, high-risk tackles designed to intimidate opponents, cause injuries, or gain a competitive advantage • Risk-versus-reward gameplay where dirty hits can shift momentum, remove key opponents from a game, increase rivalries, attract league penalties, damage reputation, or trigger retaliation from opposing teams • Rival players and teams remember previous incidents, creating long-term feuds, revenge storylines, and escalating conflicts throughout a season and career • Advanced player health system tracking accumulated damage, recovery, fatigue, rehabilitation, and long-term career effects • Unique player personalities where some athletes play clean, some embrace intimidation tactics, and others build reputations as feared enforcers within the league • Dynamic commentary and media coverage reacting to injuries, controversial hits, suspensions, rivalries, and major league events • Multiple playstyle paths, allowing players to become a respected superstar, feared enforcer, controversial villain, or balanced team leader At this stage, I am looking for someone who can help evaluate the scope of the project, create a development roadmap, and assist with building an initial playable prototype (vertical slice). Please provide examples of previous Unreal Engine projects, sports games, physics-based games, or similar work. Experience with gameplay systems, animation, AI, game design documentation, and multiplayer architecture is a plus. My goal is to assemble a small team and develop a professional-quality football game with a strong identity and long-term franchise potential
