Unreal Engine Shader Artist / Technical Artist Needed

We are looking for an experienced Unreal Engine Shader Artist / Technical Artist to create custom materials and shaders for a high-quality cinematic 3D animation project. The work will involve creating and improving shaders for visual effects, MetaHuman characters, custom characters, costumes, ornaments, weapons, and cinematic environments inside Unreal Engine. Scope of Work: Create custom Unreal Engine materials and shaders Develop shaders for cinematic FX such as glow, divine energy, fire, smoke, ash, water, magic, aura, and atmospheric effects Create or improve shaders for MetaHuman characters, including skin, eyes, hair, cloth, ornaments, and accessories Work with texture maps such as Base Color, Normal, Roughness, Metallic, Specular, SSS, Emissive, Opacity, and masks Optimize shaders for Unreal Engine cinematic rendering Build clean, reusable material instances and shader systems Help troubleshoot material issues inside Unreal Engine Support look development for hero characters and FX shots Important Requirements: Strong experience with Unreal Engine material editor Experience with custom shader creation for cinematic-quality visuals Good understanding of physically based rendering, subsurface scattering, translucency, emissive materials, and material layering Experience working with MetaHuman materials is highly preferred Ability to create production-friendly, organized material graphs Ability to balance visual quality with performance/render stability Preferred Experience: MetaHuman skin and eye shader customization Hair/groom shader setup Cloth and jewelry/ornament material creation VFX shader work for magical/divine energy, fire, smoke, ash, water, and aura effects Experience with Unreal Engine Movie Render Queue Experience with Niagara FX materials is a plus Experience with HLSL/custom nodes is a strong plus Please include in your proposal: Examples of Unreal Engine shader/material work Examples of FX shaders, if available Experience with MetaHuman material customization Whether you can write custom HLSL or only use the Unreal Material Editor Your preferred workflow for shader development Estimated cost and timeline for creating a custom FX shader and a custom MetaHuman/character shader We are looking for someone who can create high-quality cinematic shaders, communicate clearly, and work with an existing Unreal Engine production pipeline.
