Unreal Engine Technical Architecture Review – Browser-Based Public Safety Simulator
Worldwide
We're evaluating a new software product and are looking for an experienced Unreal Engine developer to perform a technical feasibility review. This is **not** a coding project (yet). The goal of this engagement is to determine whether our proposed architecture is practical, identify technical risks early, and help us decide whether Unreal Engine is the right platform. About the Project We're building a browser-accessible training and simulation platform for fire fighters. The concept combines: * realistic residential and commercial structures * photorealistic environments * procedural fire damage * decals and material changes * eventually AI-generated scenarios The initial product is **not** intended to be a AAA game. Instead, think of it as a serious simulation/training environment emphasizing realism, scalability, and maintainability. Long-term goals include: * browser deployment * AWS-hosted infrastructure * importing real fire-scene photos * RealityCapture workflows * AI-assisted scene generation * educational and investigative use ## What We're Looking For Someone who has significant experience with: * Unreal Engine 5 * shipping real projects * browser deployment or Pixel Streaming * photorealistic environments * large asset libraries * procedural content * RealityCapture * optimization * multiplayer architecture (helpful but not required) Bonus if you've worked on: * simulation software * military or public safety training * digital twins * CAD/GIS integrations * WebGL/PlayCanvas comparisons ## What We'll Do We'll schedule a 60–90 minute video call. I'll walk you through the concept, and I'd like brutally honest feedback on: * technical feasibility * architecture * development approach * major risks * expected costs * prototype strategy * build vs. buy decisions * what you would do differently I'm specifically looking for someone willing to challenge assumptions rather than simply agree with the proposal. ## Deliverable After the discussion, I'd like a short written assessment covering: * feasibility * recommended architecture * highest technical risks * suggested MVP scope * recommended tools * estimated team composition * rough timeline * "If this were my project..." recommendations ## To Apply Please include: * examples of similar Unreal projects * links to shipped work * your experience with browser deployment or Pixel Streaming * your experience with RealityCapture (if any) * your hourly rate * why you think you'd be a good fit If the engagement goes well, there is a high likelihood of ongoing architecture and development work.
