Vendor Research, List Building, and Refinement Specialist (Construction Subcontractors and Vendors)

About the role We are a specialty hillside and exterior construction company based in Los Angeles. We handle retaining walls, concrete, masonry, tile, and hillside projects, and we depend on a strong network of subcontractors and vendors to deliver great work at the right price. We already have a clear ideal profile for every single type of vendor we hire. Your job is to research against that profile, build the list, and then refine it down to qualified vendors that our biz dev team can simply pick up and call. This is not a copy and paste scraping job. It is as much about cleaning and refining as it is about building. The difference between an average researcher and the person we want is the ability to handle nuance and hand us a list that is already filtered, verified, and ready to call. What you will do - Build targeted lists of specific subcontractor and vendor types in the Los Angeles area, matched to the ideal profile we give you for each one, including: - Tile installers, meaning specialist tile subs, not general masonry crews - Landscapers with hillside experience, especially those who do pipe and board retaining walls and landscape timber work - Small job and handyman contractors who actually want smaller projects - Structural concrete and masonry subs - Soil engineers and structural engineers - Landscape designers and hillside landscape architects - Permit expediters - Use AI tools, scraping tools, and online research to find the right companies - Read reviews and portfolios to confirm a company genuinely has the specific experience we need. For example, a landscaper who shows real pipe and board or hillside jobs in their reviews - Filter out the wrong fits. We do not want large general contractors or oversized crews with high overhead. We want small, affordable, specialized companies - Clean, dedupe, and refine the data into a ready to use format with company name, contact info, specialty, location, and notes - Deliver each list packed and organized, ready to hand straight to our biz dev team to call with no extra cleanup needed Who we are looking for - Strong hands on experience with AI research tools, scraping tools, and data enrichment - Ability to handle nuance and follow specific targeting criteria rather than pulling every result - Detail oriented, with a habit of cleaning and refining data before delivery - Familiarity with US construction trades, and the difference between the trades listed above, is a big plus - Clear communicator who flags questions instead of guessing Nice to have - Prior experience building vendor or lead lists for construction, home services, or trades - Experience verifying company quality through reviews and past work ## How to apply ## Send a short Loom video or written explanation covering: 1.
