Summary

Position Overview We are seeking a highly experienced **Senior Accountant** with **25+ years of accounting experience** to oversee the day-to-day financial operations of our organization. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented accounting professional with extensive experience managing financial records, supervising accounting staff, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with tax regulations and accounting standards. This is a hands-on role requiring someone who can manage the complete accounting function while maintaining accuracy, organization, and financial integrity. Key Responsibilities * Maintain accurate financial records and oversee the company's general ledger. * Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports. * Manage the full accounting cycle, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, journal entries, and bank reconciliations. * Ensure all financial transactions are accurately recorded and documented. * Supervise and mentor accounting and bookkeeping staff. * Prepare budgets, financial forecasts, and cash flow reports. * Monitor company expenses and recommend cost-saving opportunities. * Prepare and file sales tax, payroll tax, corporate tax, and other required tax returns. * Coordinate with external CPAs, auditors, and tax advisors during audits and tax filings. * Ensure compliance with all applicable accounting standards and government regulations. * Develop and improve accounting processes, internal controls, and financial procedures. * Assist management by providing financial reports, analysis, and recommendations to support business decisions. * Maintain confidentiality of all financial information. Required * Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. * **Minimum 25 years of professional accounting experience.** * Strong knowledge of bookkeeping, accounting principles, and financial reporting. * Extensive experience with tax preparation and tax compliance. * Experience managing accounting personnel and financial operations. * Advanced proficiency in accounting software (such as QuickBooks, Sage, NetSuite, or similar) and Microsoft Excel. * Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. * High attention to detail and accuracy. * Strong written and verbal communication skills. Preferred * CPA or equivalent professional accounting certification. * Experience working with multi-entity businesses. * Experience preparing financial statements for audits. * Knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management. * Experience implementing accounting procedures and internal controls.
