Virtual Assistant (Ecommerce/Saas)
Worldwide
I'm a co-founder at an app in the Shopify ecosystem, and I'm looking for a reliable Virtual Assistant to support my day-to-day marketing and partnerships work. My days move fast and priorities can shift, I need someone who can keep up with that pace, not just follow a fixed checklist. This is a trial engagement to start, with the potential to grow into a longer-term role for the right fit. What you'll be doing: Managing and organizing my email inbox and calendar: including making judgment calls on what's urgent vs. what can wait Researching companies, partners, and leads, and compiling findings into clean, organized spreadsheets Supporting social media and community engagement: monitoring and drafting comments/posts on platforms like Reddit and LinkedIn Maintaining CRM/tracking sheets for outreach and partner communications Proofreading and formatting documents, decks, and email copy Jumping between different types of tasks as priorities shift through the day Handling ad hoc administrative tasks as they come up What makes someone a great fit: You've supported a founder, executive, or small/fast-moving team before: you understand that priorities can change mid-day and you adapt without needing everything re-explained You've worked as a VA supporting marketing, sales, or partnerships before, this isn't a good first VA gig Your written English is strong and detail-oriented; you catch typos and inconsistencies without being told You're comfortable with Google Workspace, spreadsheets, and ideally have touched an email marketing tool (Klaviyo, Mailchimp, etc.) You have some familiarity with ecommerce or Shopify, you don't need to be an expert, but you shouldn't be starting from zero You're a self-starter who can take a task and run with it, but also knows when to flag something rather than guess You're comfortable with a fair amount of autonomy and don't need heavy hand-holding once you understand the context You can overlap with IST working hours for at least part of the day How I like to work: I communicate clearly and directly, I move fast and expect the same, and I value people who ask good questions early rather than redoing work later. I'm looking to build a longer-term working relationship if this trial goes well, someone who can eventually anticipate what I need before I ask. To apply: Please share a short note on your relevant experience supporting a founder or fast-moving team, the tools you're comfortable with, and your availability (timezone + hours/week). Applications with a generic copy-paste cover letter will be deprioritized, tell me specifically why this role fits you. Screening Question: "Tell me about a time you supported a founder or fast-moving team where priorities shifted mid-day. What did you do?"
