Wall Bed – CAD, Mechanical Design & Fabrication Drawings

We are restarting a wall bed designed for college students, guest rooms, children’s bedrooms, and single professionals. The concept combines a fold-down bed, integrated desk, and closet. We have an existing design with CAD drawings and sheet-goods cutting plans and need an experienced mechanical/product designer to refine it and take it to a fabrication-ready level. Deliverables include a 3D CAD model, shop drawings, CNC router files, plasma/laser DXFs, assembly details, and sheet-goods cut/nesting plans. We need guidance on the gas strut force, length and sourcing; bed pivot/bearing design; closet-door rail system; and alternatives to the current 1" × 1" bent steel frame (such as 1" × 2" rectangular tube with mitered joints). We want to maximize use of 15 mm laminated RH sheet material, using 18 mm only where necessary, and compare material optimization for 183 × 244 cm vs. 215 × 244 cm sheets.
