We run a professional Pro Audio webshop (Shopware) with Microsoft Business Central as the central ERP system. The integration between Business Central and Shopware is already in place and working. Currently I receive price lists from approximately 100 suppliers irregularly (1–2 per week). These arrive in different formats (Excel, CSV, PDF) with varying column structures. In addition, I manually collect product images, descriptions, dimensions, weights, and technical specs from each manufacturer's website. I need an intelligent, AI-powered workflow to automate this entire process. Required Workflow Step 1 – AI-Powered Price List Import • I upload a new supplier price list (Excel, CSV or PDF) • System automatically identifies the relevant columns (SKU, product name, purchase price, RRP, etc.) — regardless of format or column naming conventions used by each supplier • System normalizes the file into a unified format Step 2 – Automatic Content Retrieval from Manufacturer Websites • System automatically visits the product page on the manufacturer's website • The following data is extracted and saved: product images (front and back), technical specifications, dimensions (W/H/D), weight, and existing product text as a basis for custom descriptions • Where available, System checks for official dealer portal content as a preferred legal source Step 3 – Difference View • New products (not yet in Business Central) are highlighted • Price changes on existing products are clearly flagged • Products no longer on the price list are marked for deactivation • A clean export table of all products with current purchase price and RRP per supplier is always available Step 4 – AI-Generated Product Descriptions • System generates complete product descriptions in German and English based on the retrieved website content and product images • Descriptions are written in an SEO-friendly, sales-oriented style • Dimensions, weight, and technical specs are stored as structured separate fields • All content lands directly in the corresponding product record Step 5 – Manual Trigger, Automated Execution • I review the prepared products and decide when to trigger the process • With a single button press, new products are fully created in Business Central • Products no longer on the price list are automatically deactivated in Business Central • Price changes are automatically updated • Images, descriptions, dimensions, and weights are all transferred Out of Scope • No ongoing maintenance or retainer after project completion • No new development of the Business Central / Shopware interface Freelancer Requirements • Proven experience with AI Engineering and N8N • Experience with AI APIs for data processing, web scraping, and text generation • Experience with automated web scraping and data normalization • Experience with AI-powered image analysis • Microsoft Business Central basic knowledge is a plus Deliverables • Fully configured database with supplier and product structure including all required fields • Functional N8N workflow as described above • Integration for import normalization, web scraping, image analysis, and text generation • Full data transfer (including images, dimensions, weight) to Business Central • 1–2 hour onboarding session via video call • Simple step-by-step documentation for daily operation Communication: German preferred but English also possible , via video call and chat. Note: Please include examples of similar automation projects (n8n + AI API) in your proposal. A brief description of how you would approach the price list normalization challenge across different supplier formats is especially welcome.
