Summary

Location: Remote — open to any location, but must be able to work core hours aligned with Melbourne, Australia (AEST/AEDT) Engagement type: Independent contractor. Australia-based: ABN required. International: engaged via contractor invoicing arrangement — you're responsible for your own tax obligations in your home jurisdiction. Contract length: ~5 months, August–December 2026, with possibility of extension Day rate: US$250-350/day (equivalent hourly rate), depending on experience and skills, plus a completion bonus (see below) About the role We're looking for a detail-oriented Content & CMS Coordinator to join a fast-paced digital content project on a contract basis. You'll be responsible for taking finished website copy and getting it live in WordPress — accurately, on schedule, and to a high standard — across a multi-site, multi-brand portfolio for a national hospitality client. This is a hands-on, execution-focused role. You won't be writing the copy — you'll be the person who makes sure it goes live correctly, on time, every time. What you'll be doing - Uploading and formatting agency-delivered website copy into WordPress - Building new pages from existing templates (no custom development required) - Populating SEO/meta fields and on-page structure per established templates - Quality-checking published pages against approved source content - Working to weekly publishing targets as part of a coordinated content sprint - Liaising with the content and strategy team on priorities, sequencing, and any content queries - From October: supporting a structured handover and training a client-side team member who will take on ongoing CMS management What we're looking for - Solid hands-on experience with WordPress (non-negotiable — this is a CMS execution role) - High attention to detail and comfortable working to volume-based targets - Reliable and highly available, particularly through the November–December on-call period — priority availability during this window is essential; when we call on your reserved days, this project needs to take precedence over other client commitments - Clear, proactive communicator — happy to flag questions or blockers early rather than guess - Comfortable following structured workflows and content-freeze/versioning processes - Bonus: experience with structured data/schema markup, or supporting/training others on CMS use Schedule Availability needs to broadly follow this pattern (some flexibility on exact days, particularly in Nov–Dec): - August: 4 days/week - September: 4 days/week - October: ~2.5 days/week (upload work plus handover support) - November–December: Flexible/on-call — up to 10 days reserved across the two months for final delivery support Engagement details - Contractor arrangement — you'll invoice for days worked - Completion bonus: a bonus is payable on successful delivery of the full engagement, including meeting the November full-time commitment — details discussed at offer stage - Australia-based contractors will need their own ABN and will manage their own tax/super; international contractors are engaged under a standard contractor agreement and manage their own tax obligations locally - Fully remote — core working hours must align with Melbourne, Australia (AEST/AEDT), with occasional overlap for team check-ins - Reports to the project's Content Lead for day-to-day priorities To apply Please include: - A short cover note - Your CV/portfolio outlining your WordPress experience - Examples of CMS/content administration work (not copywriting samples) - Your available start date and - Confirmation that you can work Melbourne (AEST/AEDT) hours
