WordPress Developer / Web Designer – Long-Term Support

I'm looking for a reliable and experienced **WordPress Designer & Developer** to help me with ongoing website work. I'm specifically looking for someone who can handle **both design and development**, as I want to be able to delegate a variety of tasks from creating website designs and Figma mockups to building and maintaining WordPress websites. This is intended to be a **long-term working relationship** rather than a one-off project. ### What you'll be doing Your work will cover both **design and development**, including: **Design** * Designing website pages and sections * Creating layouts and UI designs in Figma * Improving existing website designs * Creating landing page designs * Designing responsive layouts for desktop, tablet and mobile * Working with existing brand guidelines * Making design improvements based on client feedback * Creating website banners, graphics and other web assets when required **Development** * WordPress website development and maintenance * Elementor / Elementor Pro development * Converting Figma designs into WordPress * HTML, CSS, PHP and JavaScript * Responsive development and fixes * WooCommerce updates and customisations * Creating and editing pages * Plugin configuration and troubleshooting * WordPress troubleshooting * Website content and image updates * Basic on-page SEO implementation * Testing websites across desktop, tablet and mobile * Implementing client-requested changes * General website maintenance and improvements ### What I'm looking for You should have a good combination of **design and development skills**. **Design skills are important for this role.** You should be comfortable creating designs yourself rather than only implementing designs provided by someone else. Ideally, you should have: * Strong WordPress experience * Good Elementor / Elementor Pro experience * Good Figma experience * Strong understanding of UI/UX and web design * Strong HTML/CSS skills * Strong JavaScript & PHP knowledge * WooCommerce experience * Good understanding of responsive design * Ability to create designs from scratch * Ability to convert Figma designs into accurate WordPress websites * Good attention to detail * Ability to troubleshoot problems independently * Good communication skills * Ability to work independently and meet deadlines ### Important I'm looking for someone who can **take ownership of tasks** rather than someone who needs step-by-step instructions for everything. I would expect you to be able to **think through the layout, create the design in Figma, and then build it in WordPress**. Similarly, I may provide an existing Figma design and ask you to handle the development. You should be comfortable switching between **design and development depending on the task**. ### Working Arrangement This will start with a **trial period**, with the possibility of becoming a long-term monthly role if everything works well.
