Workday Payroll & Benefits Consultant Job Overview We are seeking an experienced Workday Payroll & Benefits Consultant to support configuration, enhancements, testing, and production support for Workday Payroll and Benefits modules. The ideal candidate should have strong functional expertise and hands-on experience working across payroll and benefits processes. Responsibilities • Configure, support, and enhance Workday Payroll and Benefits modules. • Collaborate with HR, Payroll, Benefits, IT, and business teams to gather requirements and translate them into effective Workday solutions. • Manage payroll components such as Pay Groups, Period Schedules, Earnings, Deductions, Payroll Inputs, Payment Elections, and Payroll Processing. • Manage benefits components such as Benefit Plans, Benefit Groups, Eligibility Rules, Benefit Events, Enrollment Events, Dependents, Beneficiaries, and Open Enrollment. • Perform system testing, data validation, troubleshooting, and issue resolution. • Support production issues, conduct root cause analysis, and implement sustainable solutions. • Participate in Workday releases, impact assessments, and regression testing. • Prepare functional documentation, configuration workbooks, test scenarios, and knowledge transfer materials. • Guide and mentor junior team members. Requirements • 4–8 years of Workday functional experience. • Strong expertise in Workday Payroll and Benefits. • Experience in implementation, enhancement, and support projects. • Ability to work independently and manage stakeholder expectations. • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. • Experience supporting North America Payroll and Benefits is preferred. • Workday Payroll and/or Benefits certification is a plus. Engagement Details • Contract role • Shift: 4 hours of work per day with the shift timing from 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM IST.
