Xero Accounts Assistant

Part-Time Xero Accounts Assistant (3 Days/Week) Location: Remote | UK-based or UK hours preferred Hours: 3 days per week Start date: Immediate About us We're a UK-based events and hospitality technology company. We work with a broad range of clients across the UK and internationally, and we're looking for a reliable, detail-oriented accounts assistant to support our day-to-day financial operations. The role This is a part-time, ongoing freelance position covering two core areas: 1. Xero reconciliations Daily/weekly bank reconciliations Keeping accounts clean and up to date Flagging discrepancies 2. Debt chasing Monitoring outstanding invoices Following up with clients via email and phone Maintaining a clear record of chase activity and status What we're looking for Proven hands-on experience with Xero (essential) Solid understanding of UK VAT – applying correct VAT charges and reconciling VAT transactions (essential) Comfortable with client-facing debt chasing — professional but persistent Organised, reliable, and able to work independently Good written communication skills Strong written and spoken English (essential) UK hours (essential) Nice to have Experience in hospitality, events, or a similar SME environment Familiarity with Stripe or similar payment platforms Please include a brief note on your Xero experience and any debt chasing work you've done previously.
