YouTube Video Editor Needed (Ongoing) — Fitness/Lifestyle Talking-Head Channel
Worldwide
I run a YouTube channel focused on fitness, lifestyle, and educational content — mostly talking-head style videos, generally longer-form (15+ minutes, depending on the topic). I'm looking for a reliable editor to become a long-term part of my content process, starting with a trial video or two to make sure we're a good fit. What I need for each video: Full edit of raw talking-head footage (cutting dead air, filler words, pacing for retention) B-roll insertion (I'll provide some footage/clips; you may also source relevant stock b-roll where helpful) Basic motion graphics/effects (text callouts, zooms, transitions — nothing overly flashy, just clean and engaging) Background music selection and mixing (royalty-free) Color correction and audio cleanup (leveling, noise reduction) Export ready-to-upload, optimized for YouTube About me / the channel: New-ish YouTube channel — fitness, lifestyle, and educational content Mostly talking-head format, sometimes with b-roll cutaways Videos are longer-form, generally 15+ minutes Looking to post roughly weekly, so this is meant to be an ongoing working relationship, not a one-off Pricing (hourly): This is an hourly-paid position via Upwork's hourly contract (with time tracking), open to editors worldwide. Please include your hourly rate in your application. As a rough gauge, I'm expecting somewhere in the $6–15/hr range, but I'm open to hearing what you typically charge. For reference on my end: a 15–20 minute talking-head video with b-roll, effects, and music editing typically takes somewhere around 4–8 hours depending on experience and footage quality — so I'll be watching total hours per video to make sure the time being logged lines up with the work, especially early on while we're establishing a rhythm together. I'm mindful of budget since I'm early on with this channel, but I care most about finding someone reliable I can work with long-term — rates can grow as the working relationship does and as video complexity increases (more b-roll, more graphics, etc.). To apply, please include: A link to 1–2 examples of your past YouTube editing work (talking-head style preferred, b-roll/effects/music included) Your hourly rate, and roughly how many hours you'd expect to spend on a 15–20 minute video like the one described above Your typical turnaround time per video What editing software you use (Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut, CapCut, etc.) Looking forward to finding someone who wants to grow with the channel!
