YouTube Video Editor for Premium Finance & Investing Channel – Long-Term Collaboration

I am launching a new faceless French YouTube channel focused on personal finance, investing and wealth building. The objective of the channel is to make financial and investment topics clear, practical and accessible, particularly for people who want to start investing but feel that finance is too complicated or that they do not have enough money to begin. Topics will progressively include personal finance, stock market investing, ETFs, real estate, taxation, and later more advanced subjects such as cryptocurrency and private equity. For the first phase of the channel, however, the content will remain highly accessible and educational. I am looking for an experienced YouTube video editor / motion designer to edit the first episode. If this first collaboration is successful, my objective is to work with the same editor on a long-term basis, ideally for approximately one 8–12 minute YouTube video per week. So although this job post is initially for one video, I am ultimately looking for a reliable creative partner who can help build the visual identity of the channel over time. The first episode is approximately 9 minutes and 20 seconds long. The good news is that the creative groundwork is already largely completed. I will provide: Final French voice-over Final script Brand / visual guidelines Color palette Thumbnail / visual references A detailed editing/storyboard document with suggested sequences and visual ideas You will therefore not be starting from a blank page. Your role will be to transform these elements into a polished, engaging and visually coherent YouTube video. The voice-over will be the master timeline around which the visuals should be built. The desired Visual style is: Premium Minimalist Modern Educational Credible Elegant Documentary-inspired The visual identity uses a dark charcoal background, warm off-white typography and a muted terracotta/orange accent. The overall feeling should be closer to a high-end financial publication or modern financial documentary than to a typical “make money online” YouTube channel. Visual storytelling is extremely important because the channel is faceless. The editor therefore needs to maintain audience attention through intelligent visual changes rather than relying on a presenter appearing on screen. What I DON'T want: I am not looking for a video consisting mainly of random stock footage placed over a voice-over. I am also NOT looking for the typical flashy finance/crypto aesthetic. Please avoid: excessive stock footage; flying money; luxury cars; Lamborghinis; piles of cash; gold coins everywhere; aggressive trading screens; neon effects; gaming-style animations; excessive zooms; lightning or sparks; exaggerated 3D/chrome typography; unnecessary transitions every few seconds. The channel should communicate credibility and financial education, not “get rich quick”. What I AM looking for: The final video should intelligently combine elements such as: Custom motion graphics Animated statistics Charts and graphs Clean typography Important words/numbers appearing on screen Icons and illustrations Simple visual metaphors Carefully selected B-roll when genuinely useful Subtle zooms and camera movements Clean transitions Background music Light and tasteful sound design Strategic moments of visual simplicity or silence The objective is not to make the screen constantly busy. Sometimes a strong sentence appearing alone on a dark background can be more powerful than five different animations. The editor should therefore understand visual hierarchy, pacing and viewer retention. Example of the type of visual thinking expected If the voice-over says: “Approximately two French people out of three have never invested in the stock market.” I do NOT necessarily want generic footage of people walking in a city. A better visual might be: 10 minimalist human silhouettes appear on screen → approximately two thirds gradually fade → 66% appears prominently → source displayed discreetly. Likewise, if the narration discusses compound interest, I would rather see a clean animated graph explaining the concept than random footage of someone using a laptop. This ability to translate ideas into visuals is one of the most important skills I am looking for. If we continue working together, we will progressively build a reusable visual system for the channel. For example: recurring statistics style; recurring chart style; title cards; chapter transitions; educational diagrams; recurring character/illustration elements; branded comparison screens; recurring “Verdict” sequences; progress indicators; disclaimers; outro; sound identity. This means the first few videos may require more creative setup, but future episodes should become increasingly efficient as the visual library develops. Consistency between episodes will be very important. Ideal candidate You may be a good fit if you: Have strong experience editing YouTube videos Understand faceless YouTube storytelling Have good motion-design skills Can animate charts, statistics and financial concepts Understand pacing and audience retention Know when to use B-roll and when NOT to use it Have strong typography and visual-composition skills Can work from an existing voice-over and script Can follow brand guidelines while also bringing creative ideas Are comfortable receiving feedback and making revisions Are interested in a long-term collaboration Experience with finance, investing, economics, business or educational content is a significant advantage. Fluent French is mandatory. Software Experience with professional tools such as: Adobe Premiere Pro Adobe After Effects DaVinci Resolve / Fusion is particularly relevant. I am open to other workflows as long as the final quality meets expectations. However, I am not looking for someone whose workflow consists mainly of automatically generating the entire video through AI video makers or stock-footage automation tools. AI can absolutely be used as part of the creative workflow when useful, but it should support the editor's creative decisions rather than replace them. Deliverables For this first project, I expect: One fully edited approximately 9–10 minute YouTube video 16:9 format 1080p minimum final export Motion graphics and animations Relevant B-roll where appropriate Background music Subtle sound design Color/visual consistency with the channel guidelines Corrections/revisions after the first version Final YouTube-ready export Please also specify whether you can provide the editable project/source files at the end of the project. Faceless content Have you previously edited faceless YouTube videos built around a voice-over? If yes, please share an example. 3. Motion graphics Are you comfortable creating: animated statistics; charts; graphs; typography animations; visual comparisons; simple educational diagrams? Please show an example if possible. 4. Your creative approach Imagine the voice-over says: “Two French people out of three have never invested in the stock market.” Briefly explain how you would visualize this sentence. There is no single correct answer. I simply want to understand how you think visually. 5. Software Which editing and motion-design software do you primarily use? 6. Price Please provide your fixed price for this first approximately 9-minute video. Also tell me what your price per video would be for an ongoing collaboration involving approximately one 8–12 minute video per week. 7. Turnaround How long would you normally need to deliver the first version after receiving: voice-over; script; brand guidelines; storyboard/editing brief? 8. Revisions How many revision rounds are included in your price? Potential long-term collaboration This first video should be considered a paid test project, not a one-off cheap test. If the collaboration works well, I would like to build a stable relationship with the same editor. The target publishing frequency is approximately: 1 long-form YouTube video per week ≈ 4 videos per month ≈ 8–12 minutes per video Over time, there may also be opportunities to work on Shorts and other content derived from the long-form videos. For the right editor, this could therefore become a significant recurring collaboration. I value consistency and would much rather build a relationship with one excellent editor who understands the channel than change freelancers every week. What will determine my choice I will prioritize, in this order: 1. Quality and relevance of your portfolio 2. Ability to visually explain ideas 3. Motion-design quality 4. Understanding of the desired premium/minimalist style 5. Communication and reliability 6. Price I am not simply looking for the cheapest proposal. I would rather pay a reasonable price for a strong editor who can become a long-term creative partner.
