YouTube Video Editor for Travel Documentaries

I am looking for a skilled editor who can help craft engaging, story-driven videos for my YouTube channel. This is a channel that’s been steadily growing, with the last 5 uploads earning over 525k views on just 18k subs. 

The style is energetic, story-driven, and rooted in culture. There’s exciting new content coming from China, Japan, Hong Kong, and Korea, with plenty more stories in the pipeline. If you love storytelling, travel, and crafting edits that actually say something, this is a great fit.

 The rate is $55/hour.

 Deliverables
 * Knowledge of the YouTube ecosystem is essential. I want an editor who understands what makes a YouTube video truly engaging while still keeping a sense of depth and authenticity. You need to understand key YouTube metrics (30 second retention, AVD, etc). * Storytelling ability. You won’t just be following an outline. I need someone who can shape a story in the edit. You’ll help build the rough cut and make editorial decisions that bring out emotion, pacing, and flow.
 * Independent editing. You’ll be cutting without a finished script. I record voiceover as the edit progresses, so I rely on you to drop cues in the rough cut for where VO belongs.
 * Efficiency. My previous editors delivered polished edits in 30-60 hours per video.
 * Technical fluency. Must be comfortable using Frame.io (or alternative) and Slack for review, notes, and collaboration.
 * Style awareness. My videos follow a proven formula, but there’s room for your own creative signature as long as it fits the storytelling. I'm always looking to improve.
