Summary

What I Need I'm looking for an experienced YouTube scriptwriter to write up to 9-video long-form series for my channel. The series is fully outlined — you're not developing strategy, you're executing against a detailed brief that includes video-by-video structure, hooks, section breakdowns, tone notes, and funnel moments for each episode. The project: A practical, story-driven series teaching indie and debut authors how to pitch their books to bookstores — from local warm outreach all the way to Barnes & Noble. It's built from my real experience as a South Asian woman author on a Bay Area indie press who got her romance poetry collection into major indie bookstores and B&N without a publicist or distribution deal. What you'll be writing: 9 scripts, each targeting 12–25 minutes of spoken content (roughly 1,800–3,500 words per script) Each script has a defined hook, section structure, identity/personal story moments, and a funnel/CTA close Tone is direct, warm, and credibility-forward — think knowledgeable friend, not hype creator Skills I'm looking for: Strong YouTube scriptwriting experience, ideally for educational or how-to channels Comfortable writing in a first-person, conversational voice that still feels structured on camera Able to write from a detailed brief without needing to build strategy from scratch Experience with long-form content (10 min+) — you understand pacing, retention hooks, and how to move through a topic without losing the viewer Bonus: familiarity with the publishing, author, or book world How I work: I'll share the full series document upfront so you have complete context before writing anything I'd like to start with a paid trial script (Video 1) before committing to the full series I give detailed feedback and I'm responsive — I expect the same Revision rounds are part of the process; I'll define how many per script upfront Delivery will be staggered (not all 9 at once) to match my filming schedule What a strong applicant will include: A sample of YouTube scripts you've written (not just videos — the actual scripts), and a brief note on how you approach writing in someone else's voice.
