Zoho Books Consultant (Initial Setup)

Overview We’re looking for an experienced Zoho Books Consultant to help us set up our accounting system from scratch. This is a one-time initial setup project, with potential for ongoing hourly work after go-live. We want someone who is not just technical, but can also recommend best practices and ensure everything is set up cleanly and efficiently. Scope of Work (Deliverables) You will be responsible for the full Zoho Books setup, including: 1. Core Setup Configure company profile and settings Set up Chart of Accounts (aligned with business needs) 2. Banking & Transactions Connect bank accounts and feeds Set up bank rules and reconciliation process 3. Invoicing & Templates Customize invoice templates Set up products/services (if applicable) 4. Taxes Configure tax settings (VAT/GST or relevant structure) 5. Automation Set up recurring invoices and basic workflows Create rules to streamline processes 6. Reports & Dashboard Set up key financial reports Ensure dashboard is clean and useful 7. Handover & Training 1–2 walkthrough calls Clear guidance on how to use the system moving forward Ideal Candidate Proven experience with Zoho Books (not just general bookkeeping) Strong understanding of accounting principles Experience setting up systems for small to mid-sized businesses Able to recommend best practices (not just follow instructions) Good communication and can explain things clearly Nice to Have Experience with Zoho ecosystem (CRM, Inventory, etc.) Experience with migrations (e.g., Excel, Xero, QuickBooks → Zoho Books) Future Opportunity After this setup, we may continue working with you on an hourly basis ($20–$30/hr) for: Ongoing support Adjustments and improvements Troubleshooting To Apply Please include: - Brief summary of your Zoho Books experience - Examples of similar setups you’ve done - Your approach to setting up Zoho Books for a new client Optional (but preferred): - Loom video walkthrough of a past setup
