Zoho Books + Zoho Inventory Implementation & Integrations Specialist (QuickBooks Desktop Migration)

We are moving off QuickBooks Desktop (end-of-life plus ongoing file-stability issues) onto Zoho Inventory + Zoho Books, integrated with our existing Zoho CRM and surrounding operational stack. We are looking for an experienced Zoho developer (or a small team) to help us implement the build and the integrations. The business is a light make-to-stock manufacturer: it purchases raw materials, assembles them into ~10 finished goods via a daily build process, holds them in a single warehouse, and sells through two channels — a direct sales channel (via Zoho CRM) and an EDI retail channel to large national retailers. Scope of work The project breaks into clear workstreams. You may bid on all of them or specify which you can own. 1. Core Zoho Inventory + Zoho Books setup Item model: raw-material inventory items, finished goods as Composite Items with Bill of Materials, and the Assemblies (build) workflow that consumes components and creates finished goods stock Single warehouse, weighted-average costing, chart of accounts, tax and account mappings Validate GL behavior (inventory asset, COGS-at-sale) against known QuickBooks examples in a sandbox 2. Operational workflow build Procurement: purchase orders, purchase receives, bills Production: daily assembly builds Sales orders, packages, fulfillment, and invoicing Payments and reconciliation 3. Zoho CRM to Books/Inventory sales-order flow Replace an existing RPA bridge (currently keying CRM orders into QuickBooks) with a clean native or API-based sync Confirm and implement the recommended setup for a sales-order-driven shop 4. Third-party integrations (the core technical work) - EDI (retail trading partners): inbound purchase orders (850), outbound advanced shipping notices (856 ASN), outbound invoices (810), inbound payment remittance (820). The current EDI provider is TrueCommerce. The integration approach is being finalized and may involve a Zoho-certified EDI partner, a third-party connector, or custom middleware (Zoho Flow / Catalyst). EDI experience is a strong advantage — see notes below. - Freight/shipping (FreightPOP, LTL): push sales-order/package data out via API and write carrier, tracking number, and freight cost back into Books. Note this is LTL freight, not parcel. - Avalara AvaTax: configure the native Zoho Books connector for multi-jurisdiction calculation and exemptions; migrate the existing Avalara account - Rippling (payroll): import payroll journals into Zoho Books (manual journal via CSV or API) - Fathom (financial reporting): set up a recurring multi-period P&L and Balance Sheet export from Zoho Books / Zoho Analytics - Zoho Analytics: configure native Books/Inventory dashboards Required skills and experience - Proven Zoho Inventory + Zoho Books implementations (manufacturing or inventory-heavy businesses strongly preferred) Deluge scripting - REST API integrations with third-party SaaS platforms (auth, webhooks, scheduled syncs, error handling, rate-limit management) - Experience migrating data from QuickBooks (Desktop) into Zoho Zoho CRM familiarity Strong advantages - Hands-on EDI experience especially with retail trading partners and ASN generation - Zoho Flow and/or Zoho Catalyst - Experience integrating any of: Avalara, FreightPOP (or comparable freight/TMS), Rippling, Fathom, Zoho Analytics - Zoho Marketplace extension development (in case a custom connector is required)
