monday.com → WordPress Content Pipeline (Make / Zapier Automation Specialist)

Summary

Project Overview We run a multilingual (Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese, and English) Christian media and resources platform that publishes articles on a near-daily cadence. Our editorial team plans, writes, and tracks content in monday.com, and our public site runs on WordPress (with WooCommerce, GiveWP, and LearnDash). Right now, moving a finished article from monday.com into WordPress is a manual copy-paste job. We want to automate it: when an article is marked ready in monday.com, it should flow into WordPress as a properly structured post, title, body, author, featured image, category, and language with no manual re-entry. We're looking for someone who has built this kind of CMS automation before and can stand it up reliably, document it, and hand it off cleanly. What You'll Build A Make or Zapier workflow that triggers when a monday.com item reaches a defined status (e.g. "Ready to Publish"). Mapping of monday.com columns to WordPress fields: title, body/content, author, category/tags, and the article's language. Handling of the featured image (and any inline images) uploaded into the WordPress media library and attached to the post, not just hot-linked. Posts created as draft or scheduled (configurable) so an editor can do a final review before going live. Duplicate protection / idempotency, re-triggering or editing an item in monday.com should update the existing post, not create a second one. Sensible error handling and logging so failed runs are visible and recoverable. A short written runbook explaining how the workflow is structured and how we maintain or extend it. Required Experience Demonstrated experience building integrations with Make (Integromat) and/or Zapier — please point to real examples. Hands-on CMS experience, specifically WordPress (custom post types, the WordPress REST API, media handling, taxonomies). Direct experience working with the monday.com API / monday.com automations and webhooks. Comfort mapping structured data between systems and reasoning about edge cases (missing fields, retries, partial failures). Clear written English communication and the ability to document your work. Experience with multilingual WordPress (WPML or Polylang) and assigning content to the correct language on import. Familiarity with WooCommerce, GiveWP, or LearnDash environments (so the automation plays nicely with a plugin-heavy site). Experience with editorial / newsroom publishing workflows. Have you built a monday.com → WordPress (or monday.com → other CMS) content pipeline before? Briefly describe what you built and which tool you used. Would you approach this with Make or Zapier, and why? (If you'd recommend a different approach, tell us.) How would you prevent duplicate posts when a monday.com item is updated more than once? Have you handled multilingual content in an automated import? If so, how? Please keep your proposal specific to this project we'll prioritize applicants who reference their own relevant work over generic pitches.
