The PCB design (KiCad) for the prototype of my device: ESP32 + GPS + simcom modem. Objectives: - Ready to be loaded to JLCPCB - only use the available components. - USB-powered (5V, USB-C) - Separate power for the modem (split from the power input, step-down to 3.3v). The ESP32 3.3v power output is not enough to power the modem. - Two power switches - option to power up only the modem or the ESP32 separately. If it is impossible to order them soldered, suggest the switches and leave the space for them. - Shape: a rectangle will make sense when put in the 3D-printed case. - The [screen and buttons](https://pl.aliexpress.com/item/32977643629.html) should be next to each other - buttons on the right of the screen, like in the module I used for the prototype. - It should have holes for screws on the corners - to mount to the case later on. - The [SimCom 7080G modem](https://pl.aliexpress.com/item/1005007123527217.html) should not be a part of the design, as it's not possible to order it being soldered in. There should be a place where I will solder it myself. It requires seven connections, 2 of which are ground (which, of course, should be shared with the ESP), and one of them is power - it should not be connected with the ESP's 3.3v vol but have its power source. - Use the [link to the design](https://img.yfisher.com/m0/1692268963889-bk-sim7080g-board-user-manual-v10.pdf) to check the size and foresee the holes for screws as well. - The same goes for the [GPS module](https://pl.aliexpress.com/item/1005004446840319.html); it should be handled as the modem — just the connectors and enough space to be mounted later. Foresee the holes for screws. - The RGB diode should be on the same side as the screen but on the second corder. For example, the screen should be on the top right, with the buttons on its right side and the diode on the top left. It can be just 4 wholes for a regular diode (something like this) or, ideally, - The modules can be mounted on both sides — for example, the ESP32 and GPS on one side and the modem, screen, and diode on the other. Please start with suggesting the price for the preparation of the design.

We are looking for a skilled embedded systems developer with experience in STM32 microcontrollers to assist in developing a custom alarm system. The project involves integrating an RTC (DS3231) for real-time clock functionality, Bluetooth (HC-05) for wireless control, and a buzzer for the alarm feature. The system will be designed for the STM32F429I-DISC1 board. Project Requirements: Configure and initialize the RTC (DS3231) module using I2C communication. Implement Bluetooth communication using the HC-05 module for controlling the alarm. Integrate a buzzer (active type) that can be turned on/off based on the state of a button or Bluetooth command. Design a simple user interface (if needed) to interact with the system. Ensure that all components communicate seamlessly on STM32F429I-DISC1. Key Skills: Experience with STM32 microcontrollers, especially STM32F429 series. Knowledge of embedded C programming. Expertise in I2C and UART protocols. Familiarity with peripherals like RTCs, Bluetooth modules, and GPIO control. Previous experience with STM32CubeIDE and HAL libraries. Ability to debug and optimize embedded code. Project Details: Microcontroller: STM32F429I-DISC1 Peripherals: DS3231 RTC, HC-05 Bluetooth, Buzzer Communication Protocols: I2C (for RTC), UART (for Bluetooth) Deliverables: Fully functional code for integrating the components. Clear documentation on the project setup and configuration. Debugging and optimization for efficient operation. The project needs to be completed by December 7th, 2024
Looking for an experienced FPGA engineer to design an AXI Stream hardware accelerator for the first convolutional layer of LeNet CNN. The goal is to speed up handwritten digit recognition on the PYNQ Z2 platform. Deliverables include Vivado project files, overlay files (.bit, .hwh, .tcl), and a short report. Must have expertise in FPGA design, Xilinx Vivado, and CNN architectures. Let me know your approach and relevant experience!
I’m looking for an experienced electrical engineer to collaborate on a groundbreaking project—a new type of kitchen appliance that doesn’t exist on the market yet. Initially, I’ll need a few consultations to guide the development process. After these, we’ll have a clearer idea of how much work this role might involve moving forward.
