The Elevator Pitch:
I make sh--stuff.
The Logline:
Being foolish enough to think he could make it as an actor, Brock Vickers set out on a journey that led him across America. Along the way, he discovers valuable lessons that forever alter the shape of his life.
The Cinematic Release:
I write, I perform live and on camera, and I look for new ways to communicate, be it in a night club in Philly, a recording studio in New York, or in front of my camera at home. I love to work with clients who inspire people. Content creation, production, idea generation, branding, consulting, editing, hosting, spokesperson, and general dramatic storytelling is what I do.
The Director's Cut:
My whole life I've enjoyed stories: comic books, novels, audiobooks, movies, plays, you name it. It seemed fitting to follow in the footsteps of Hemingway, Hunter S. Thompson, and Trevanian and learn the craft of storytelling; however,it wasn't just the written word that intrigued me. Comedians such as Jim Carrey and Robin Williams could at one instance delight and entertain you and at another break your heart. Therefore, I wanted to learn to write, to create, to speak, and to entertain. For the past ten years, I have done just that: written, performed, and produced for the stage and screen. Now, I'm looking to create with other people in new mediums and inspire people the same way my favorite storytellers inspired me.
I write, screenplays and plays mostly; however, I've been known to attempt other mediums if the moon is right. I act, movies mostly but there's a long list of commercials, spokesperson work, audiodramas, and plays that beg to differ. If you've read this far--my god, why--then you'll also be curious to learn that I also hold down a 9-5 in sales, write copy, draft blogs, and love a good cocktail.
"A human being should be able to change a diaper, plan an invasion, butcher a hog, conn a ship, design a building, write a sonnet, balance accounts, build a wall, set a bone, comfort the dying, take orders, give orders, cooperate, act alone, solve equations, analyze a new problem, pitch manure, program a computer, cook a tasty meal, fight efficiently, die gallantly. Specialization is for insects."
