Hi all, I have Narrated, edited, mastered and produced literally hundreds of audio books for Audible/ACX...Additionally, I've also done audio work for many projects, including other (Non-Audible Related) audiobooks, lots of podcast editing, intros, outro's / corporate and commercial media audio .... so, yes I have experience doing this stuff! The $50.. per hour price is 50 PFH (per finished hour for narration) typically only relates to Audio-Books, in other words, if your audiobook is three hours (about 30,000 words) then it would cost a total of $150 for the project (if I narrate), even though it takes longer than that to record edit and master the project. The bottom line, is that when it comes to audio book work that I have recorded, you usually know exactly how much it will cost in advance......If you have recorded the Audio-book yourself, the price can vary widely depending on the recorded quality and what must be done to bring it into conformity... If you simply need your self recorded book to be brought into ACX requirements and uploaded then the price for that is typically quite reasonable. PLEASE NOTE: Any hourly work that runs over 20 hours automatically gets its hourly rate reduced by 20%. Prices for SHORT-FORM narration vary by project due to the many variables, music track... noise, editing issues etc... Just contact me so we can discuss exact pricing... it will be reasonable!
