I am firmware developer with over 8 years experience. I was working for one the biggest provider of BLE chips - Nordic Semiconductor - creating SDK, writing drivers, examples, tests and documentation. I was also part of team creating BLE MESH stack for nrf platform. I specialize in creating embedded systems (eg asset tracking) as well as standalone device (toys, gadgets) including embedded device firmware and mobile app software connected over BLE. Working experience: - worked for 2 years for Nordic Semiconductor (famous nrf51 and nrf52 series) creating BLE based firmware - worked for Silvair - company which created first certified BLE MESH stack I completed many projects: - child toy with ble, mic, speaker, i2c touch sensor, led - e-ciggarette with ble, led, complex algorithms, unit tests, system tests - line-follower with ble, motor control, PID algorithm - indoor tracking system including beacons, scanners and relays - nrf52 based device with accelerometer, getting data from it and sending it to mobile over BLE with mobile app plotting data in real time - nrf52 based device to commmunicate with external device getting data over i2c and sending it to mobile over BLE / working on mobile app - nrf52 based home automotion device with bulbs connected, controlled over BLE by mobile app written by me #ARM Cortex-M #AVR #BLE #C #C++ #Android #python

Solo software engineer based in Poland. I build the whole path from the device to the browser: firmware on the board, the backend that stores what it sends, and the app the operator actually uses. I flew commercially from 2011 to 2019. I started programming a year before I left the cockpit and went full time from 2019: freelance Flutter, then a software engineering role, then my own product, which is what I build now. Eight years in aviation is why I write things down, work to a procedure, and think about how a system fails before I think about how it works. Backends. FastAPI modular monoliths on Python 3.14, SQLAlchemy 2.0 async with asyncpg, Alembic migrations, Pydantic settings, pytest and mypy. Before FastAPI I shipped production systems on Quart, including a multi-tenant management platform (Quart, PostgreSQL, Flutter Web, a pile of third-party API integrations) that I built solo end to end. I maintain my own reusable Quart foundation package. Industrial and IoT integration. The platform I run now drives a factory floor. MQTT between the backend and gateway devices, RS-232 bridging to grading machines and label printers, ZPL label generation, hardware simulators so the system can be tested without the machines present, and a full audit trail. It syncs with a third-party ERP over SQL Server. Separate domains for production management and orchestration, supply/product/packaging warehouses, sales, print service, ERP comms and machine comms. Multi-environment Docker Compose, Loki and fluent-bit for logs. Firmware. ESP-IDF in C for the gateway that bridges MQTT and the machines: Ethernet/RMII bring-up, DHCP or static config, SNTP, MQTT with per-device topic namespaces and presence/heartbeat, OTA with rollback validation, NVS persistence, an on-device HTTP settings page, partition and version management. Also writing bare-metal Rust for the ESP32-P4. Mobile development. Flutter since 2020, mobile and web from one codebase: auto_route, get_it/injectable, freezed, dio, flutter_bloc, fpdart. Dense operational UI with Syncfusion data grids, charts and in-app PDF viewing, plus websockets for live device management and secure credential storage. Native Android in Kotlin with modular Gradle and a build-logic plugin, for handheld barcode data collectors used on the warehouse floor, and a Java plugin wrapping the scanner hardware SDK. iOS work goes back to Swift and UIKit in 2019. Web development. TypeScript dashboards against my own APIs, and Astro marketing sites. Comfortable owning the API contract on both sides of it. Infrastructure. Docker and Compose throughout. I self-host my own stack on Debian: Caddy with wildcard certificates over DNS-01, PostgreSQL, Pi-hole and unbound with split-horizon DNS, WireGuard, Asterisk. Linux, systemd and networking are day-to-day, not occasional. Most of my substantial work sits in private product repositories, so I can walk you through the architecture and the decisions on a call rather than hand you a link. For scale: the platform I run now is past a thousand commits on the backend alone, built and maintained solo alongside its Flutter frontend, Kotlin data collectors, ESP-IDF gateway firmware and TypeScript dashboard. If your project involves hardware, a messy third-party integration, or something that has to keep running unattended, that is the part I am worth paying for.
