I turn a business process nobody has written down properly into a design an engineer can build — then stay through implementation. The one I point to most: a single sign-on ecosystem I designed and built for 2,600+ users across Java, PHP and .NET. 13+ years, mostly enterprise and public-sector systems. What that has looked like: • Single Sign-On ecosystem (PT Perkebunan Nusantara IV) — initiated and designed the ecosystem where no prior internal effort existed, built the Java EE core myself, and designed the Portal and Access Management components. Two phases, roughly three months, six people. Replaced separate logins for 2,600+ users across Java, PHP, and .NET applications. • Performance management rebuild (PT Perkebunan Nusantara IV) — led a seven-person team rebuilding an appraisal system on Java EE, Service-Oriented Architecture, and SQL Server stored procedures. Four months, around 600 executive users. The data and performance failures reported against the previous version did not recur in the observed appraisal period. • Customs import integration (PT Teknoglobal) — built two Java EE flat-file parsers plus document-validation and multithreaded background-processing services for a national customs system, consuming import and banking data delivered through an IBM MQ messaging layer. I owned those modules; I did not build the messaging infrastructure and I did not lead the wider project. • Mobile content ecosystem, 2023–2026 — architected and led the v2 backend rebuild after the original could not scale past inconsistent data and a schema that resisted new features. Designed the database, coded the core processing, and led a team of QA, mobile, and web developers. A compatibility API let existing clients run against the new backend, so the cutover carried users across without significant disruption. • Most recently — specified and led a C#/.NET 8 WPF refactoring that separated the user interface from background services over gRPC, then built a REST-based Cloud Sync worker linking the desktop client to a Next.js platform. I handed that work over on completion of my scope in July 2026; the client team continues development. Since August 2026 I work independently under my own trade name, currently delivering a landing page and registration flow for a member-based organization (Go, MariaDB). Where I am useful: enterprise integration, single sign-on and access flows, internal tools and workflow systems, procurement and ERP-adjacent processes, legacy modernization, and backend work in Java, C#/.NET, or PHP/Laravel. Where I am not: SAP configuration or ABAP, mobile-first product design, data science, and anything requiring a cloud architecture certification I do not hold. I work to an agreed schedule, put delivery risks in writing early, and tell you when something I designed turns out to be wrong.

Need a backend, full-stack, or AI system that holds up in production, not just on a demo branch? That's what I do. I'm a senior software engineer with 6+ years building web apps, desktop products, data platforms, and enterprise integrations for clients in the US, Canada, and Europe. Clients usually come to me with one of these problems: - "Our API is slow or falls over under load." I profile it, fix the queries and caching, and add retries, idempotency, and monitoring so failures stop reaching your users. - "We need a real product, not a prototype." Secure auth, roles and permissions, billing, background jobs, licensing, automated tests, and CI/CD are part of the build, not a phase two. - "We want AI over our own documents but it keeps answering wrong." I build RAG pipelines with hybrid search, reranking, and measured retrieval quality so answers are traceable. - "Our legacy mainframe code needs to run somewhere modern." I deploy and repair COBOL/CICS/DB2/JCL systems on z/OS and IBM Cloud. WHAT I WORK WITH Backend: .NET Core, Python, FastAPI, Node.js, REST APIs, Clean Architecture, CQRS, Kafka, MassTransit, SignalR, Hangfire Frontend: Angular, React, Next.js, TypeScript, RxJS, NgRx, Tailwind, Material UI Data: PostgreSQL, SQL Server, MongoDB, Redis, Qdrant, pgvector AI: RAG, LangChain, OpenAI, Cohere, hybrid vector + BM25 search, reranking, evaluation Cloud and DevOps: AWS, Azure, IBM Cloud, Docker, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, xUnit, pytest Mainframe: z/OS, COBOL, CICS, DB2, VSAM, JCL WHAT I'VE DELIVERED - A multi-tenant vendor risk platform covering supplier onboarding through audits and remediation, with enterprise SSO, granular permissions, Stripe billing, and AWS deployment. - Three years on a freight-forwarding ERP: 1,000+ endpoints, 25+ carrier and accounting integrations, and the full rate-to-shipment lifecycle. - A licensed Windows and macOS desktop product with signed entitlements, offline grace periods, and crash-recovery testing. - A multilingual vehicle-manual chatbot with intent classification and an automated retrieval-evaluation harness. - Technical leadership of a 6-developer team across architecture, estimation, and releases. HOW I WORK I plan carefully before writing code, clarify anything that is unclear, and provide an honest estimate before development begins. I will also tell you early if an approach is risky or unlikely to work. You will receive working increments that you can review throughout the project - not a month of silence followed by unexpected results. I always take ownership of project and meet the deadline I commit to. I have maintained a 100% Job Success Score and delivered more than 2,400 hours of work on Upwork. Some of my project details are in my portfolio and work history below. Send me your requirements, and I will reply with a clear technical approach, the main trade-offs, and a realistic delivery timeline.

What does an IBM MQ freelancer do?

An IBM MQ freelancer administers the IBM MQ messaging middleware to manage queue managers and maintain reliable connectivity for application point-to-point and publish/subscribe use cases. This specialist defines messaging objects such as queues, channels, listeners, and authentication resources to support enterprise data exchange. They operate supported interfaces including the command line, graphical tools, and REST APIs to configure and monitor these critical infrastructure components.

  • Administer IBM MQ queue managers and associated resources by defining queues, channels, listeners, services, and authentication objects through MQSC scripts or other administrative interfaces. The freelancer executes MQSC commands interactively or in batches from text files to create and modify these objects according to specific architectural requirements. This work establishes the foundational structure that applications use to send and receive messages across distributed systems.
  • Configure and operate messaging connectivity by managing client connection channels, listeners, and cluster-related settings to ensure stable communication paths. The specialist uses tools like IBM MQ Explorer or the administrative REST API to verify channel status and adjust configurations for cluster sender and receiver channels. They validate that messaging endpoints remain accessible and correctly routed within complex network topologies.
  • Run and automate administrative changes via runmqsc and MQSC command sequences to streamline routine configuration tasks and reduce manual error. The freelancer builds automation scripts that execute these command-line operations to apply consistent settings across multiple queue managers or environments. This approach allows for repeatable deployments and faster resolution of configuration issues during system updates or maintenance windows.
