I received my B.S from the SUNY at Potsdam in Computer Science graduating Magna Cum Laude and my Master’s Degree in Computer Science from Georgia Institute of Technology (“Georgia Tech”). I attended for a Ph.D in Computer Science from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (“RPI”). My most recent position was a tutor/teacher at Omega Learning Center and TutorDoctor teaching students from 3rd grade to college students. I also have been a teacher in the New York Mid-Hudson Valley school districts teaching all age groups from 2nd grade to high school students. In college I was a teacher assistant in my undergraduate and graduate studies. During my time in the corporate world I taught training classes. I am a published author for publisher Prentice Hall entitled “Unix Awk and Sed Programmer's Interactive Workbook”. I have taken certification classes in teaching and ESL. I am also a member of the National Tutoring Association, Association for the Coaching and Tutoring profession and American Tutoring Association I teach Math, Science, Business, Economics, Humanities, Social Science, and Computer Science. Math subjects include Calculus, Statistics, Linear Algebra, and Discrete Math. Science includes all sciences. I have taught numerous students ACT/SAT prep and GRE testing. While possessing a good understanding of the subject matter is a given for teaching it goes beyond just knowledge of subject matter. It requires interacting with parent, student and teacher so each feels the experience is positive and productive. Passion to see the transformation of seeing an individual struggle with material and then conquering it. Motivating and making material interesting when the student is unmotivated. Capable of meeting all the challenges and dynamics that teacher and student encounter to encourage them to master the material. In addition, teaching them tips and techniques that can help them progress given whether they are good at memorizing, need visual clues, or learn by example. Be energetic and enthusiastic. It rubs off with the student. With the right balance of energy and enthusiasm the student will be more inclined to feed off it. Clear goals must be established with a time frame associated with it so everyone can determine if the tutoring is working and progress is being met. Quickly identify the student’s learning style and adapt the course material to their learning style overcoming mental blocks that occur in science and math. Communication, communication, communication cannot be stressed enough. Always be positive and non-authoritative during the course of the lessons. Mathematics is often so confusing and so boring, but it doesn't have to be that way! Math is not some mysterious subject that only a few can comprehend. As with any discipline, practice leads to proficiency, and that practice needs to be guided by an expert. No one gains mastery in any subject without guidance. The problem for many people is that they were only told what to do, but never told why to do it. For others, they were never presented with an easy-to-follow step-by-step process for solving problems. Any educational problem can be fixed, no matter how hard it sounds. There is hope. Hope not for hope sake but with a competent, experienced and skilled tutor who has the experience and training to identify all situations that occur during teaching and using trained and proven techniques to see the light at the end of the tunnel Give us a try and you will be happy with the results

I am an experienced quantitative financial researcher with 15+ years of experience in the field. Before that, I used to be a Physicist in academia, where I had a passion for cosmology (my PhD thesis was in this) and Quantum Physics (I currently run a blog on Linkedin on this). As part of this background, I can contribute to gigs that involve any of the following, but not limited to it: • Data analysis (optimization, clustering, especially dealing with very noisy data, applying any mathematical model on data) • Machine Learning (random forests, adversarial networks, recurrent networks, ....) • Proficient in C, Python, C#, but you can definitely catch my interest if you have a problem involving the Wolfram Language • Passionate about Quantum Physics, so I would definitely enjoy projects that require working in theoretical Quantum Physics. • I can do projects that involve Mathematics (Chaos Theory, Dynamical Systems, Real Analysis). • Last, but not least, I have experience in the full cycle of generating systematic strategies from prototyping to implementing into production all the way to monitoring the execution.

Expert Vetted & Top Rated Plus Freelancer! Summary of Skills: Looking to provide data driven insights to companies and people using applied mathematics, statistics, and human ingenuity. My primary language is R, but also use Excel extensively and for business compatibility. Also, have SQL experience. Previously worked for a Fortune 500 tech company (Symantec in internet security) doing business statistics and data analysis. Graduate of Claremont Graduate School with a Masters in Mathematics in 2013. Graduated from Santa Clara University in Finance and Mathematics with an emphasis in applied math and minor in physics. Looking to help people and companies gather and interpret data using mathematical and statistical techniques. Brief Background: In recent years, I have been providing consulting in a variety of analytic fields including technology, healthcare, gaming, financial, legal (patents and data research for court cases), and others. I make sense of your data so you can spend more time making informed decisions or asking deeper level questions. Since college I have tutored a wide variety of people in math from middle school to the MBA level. I have covered subjects including, calculus, statistics, and multi-variable regression modeling. At Santa Clara I worked in the Drahmann Center as a tutor to help my fellow students with their classwork and learning, specifically in math.
