ESL TeachingStem Mixing & MasteringPodcast ProductionMusic ProductionSound MixingPodcast EditingEnglish TutoringAudio RestorationAudio EditingTechnical WritingTechnical DocumentationProofreadingDear future clients, I am a native English speaker from the UK living in Taiwan. My primary business is teaching English as a second language (ESL) and technical proofreading. I have impeccable attention to detail and always communicate clearly with my clients to ensure 100% satisfaction, on time, and within budget. Whilst I may be new to Upwork, I have completed hundreds of proofreading tasks (British and American English) on other freelancing platforms (under the name MTVoices), and throughout my career as an aerospace engineer, senior manager, project manager, and subject matter expert for Aviation English. I have also been a course designer and instructor. I now have my own UK-registered company (interview-english.com) for teaching English online to professionals in business, science, aviation, engineering and more. I love teaching, but I also love to travel, and proofreading works perfectly for me for remote working. My proofreading experience covers engineering documentation, user manuals, contracts, investigation reports, policies and procedure documents, training literature, dissertations, university application letters, and even scripts for YouTube. My previous major clients include the UK Ministry of Defence, UK FCO, Goodrich Power Systems, Macau Business Aviation Centre, the Greek Tourist Board, and most recently, Samsung, as well as individual work. Some documents may have ambiguous statements that need clarification on the intended meaning. I will always clarify these points rather than assume. I work in complete confidence and never publish any examples of my work online, nor would I send any as examples of previous work. I would prefer a client send me one of their documents, and I will proofread it and provide a free sample so they can see the true value of my work. MS Word is my preferred format for efficiency and accuracy, as well as the comprehensive tracking tools. Here are some reviews from previous clients: 5 Stars - Switzerland - "Mick has proofread and revised several technical documents, including technical manuals and instructions, for me so far. He has always delivered absolutely professional work and has always exceeded my expectations! Mick stands out with his technical understanding, his work ethic, and his delivery of high quality! He always goes the extra mile, which I tremendously appreciate! Thank you, Mick!" 5 Stars - Czech Republic - "Mick proofread and corrected a fairly large technical document for me. He communicated readily and professionally and delivered the result in just a few days. I was happy with the result and could use it right away." 5 Stars - USA - "Working with Mick couldn't have gone any better. He gave me a very fair price on a specific custom order, in which he went above and beyond, taking my ideas and expanding on them, resulting in a final product that was better than I had even hoped. I will definitely be returning, and if you're considering working with him, I cannot recommend him enough. Would rate 6/5 if I could." Since early age, she showed interest in music, particularly piano, which she started to play with at the age of 3 and which quickly became her favorite toy. Her father playing guitar and upright bass in local country band and her music loving mother supported her passion and signed her up for piano classes at the age of 9. Niko had decent pitch recognition and loved playing piano, but completely refused to follow her teacher's lead and suggestions, only wanting to play her own songs. After two semesters the teacher suggested that she will not be teaching Niko any longer. Despite not finishing her piano lessons, these early classes built her foundation of musical understanding and theory which she utilized till the age of 28. She always preferred writing more sentimental, darker music, as she was always able to emotionally relate. By the age of 13, Niko started to play guitar and connecting with punk rock as well as classic rock'n'roll. She started singing and writing her own songs, which were all very melancholic due to her parent's divorce and poor mental state. At the age of 15, her mother and sister were able to save enough money for her to record her 1st demo " By The Desk," which caught attention of multiple producers and talent seekers in Czech Republic and Europe. She recorded her 1st album in Germany under the alias "The Libido." The second album she recorded in Prague, but the album has never been officially released. In between she played with multiple bands along with solo acoustic singer songwriter sets, but due to her lack of confidence paired with a healthy bit of stage fright, she rarely felt satisfied in her endeavors. After being pulled in multiple directions by fellow musicians involved, she set out looking for her own self-produced sound. At the age of 21 she decided to experiment with electronic music and started producing her own songs. After moving to Los Angeles, she created a new alias titled "Resin" combining dark beats with cinematic soundscapes and grungy vocals. With Resin, she released two self-produced EPs and one collaborative album with a project called "Orphantales." Still battling her stage fright, she received an offer to compose music to a sci-fi script titled "Right Forward Turret." While working on the score, she realized that music composition and film scoring were her true calling. Feeling most confident utilizing her talent with not just orchestral music but music across all the genres. At this time, she is based in New York City and has a history of composing multiple scores to short films, commercials and feature length films as well as personal compositions. ABOUT MY STUDIO I predominantly use two DAWS (musical software) - Logic Pro X and Ableton Live 9 and I work strictly on Mac. I have access to multiple electric guitars, acoustic guitars and a bass, DW drum kits, djembe, Yamaha piano, cello, ethnic flutes and other ethnic instruments. I mainly use the Neuman TLM 103 and Sennheiser MKE 600 and e965 to track Audio. I have access to the highest quality virtual instruments and libraries (such as Berlin Strings, Spitfire Albion One, Cinesamples, Damage and many others) that can guarantee an astonishing realism, especially with orchestral instruments. I also own a huge variety of ethnic libraries and virtual synths for creating original sound and sound design. Lastly, I have tons of plugins such as Wave or Izotope, that are essential for mixing and mastering music. - $50/hr $50 hourly

Academic WritingNovel WritingAcademic ProofreadingBook ReviewEditing & ProofreadingEducationAcademic Content DevelopmentBlog WritingCurriculum DevelopmentLanguage InstructionAcademic K-12Curriculum DesignCopywritingWriting CritiqueAcademic EditingAs an award-winning educator for over three decades, I’ve designed curriculum, edited and graded student work at many levels, and created course content for a wide variety of subject areas. Now, you can tap into my expertise to make these tasks easier for yourself. Here are some examples of ways I can help you: • Education: If you’ve got a text and need to have a quiz, homework assignment, or exam based on it, I can prepare both the assignment and the key or grading rubric to use in scoring it. If you’ve got a big set of exams to mark, I’m always eager to help give students feedback. If you’re using blog posts to support your teaching by providing additional material for your students, I can assist with content writing and designing interesting activities for the students to do to engage with the material. If you are focusing on cross-curricular projects, I can suggest ways to integrate learners’ skills and tie together disparate ideas into comprehensive plans. • Editing: Having taught everything from middle school English to adult basic education to music to university-level ESL/EFL and much, much more, I can edit work at nearly any level. Whether you’re writing a journal article for professional publication or a set of worksheets for high schoolers, I can help strengthen your finished work without losing your personal voice. • Proofreading: Sometimes, you’ve got a piece of writing that absolutely, positively has to be 100% perfect. An extra pair of eyes and a skilled copywriter can be invaluable. I’m great at finding those nitpicky details that shift a grant proposal, a Master’s thesis, a doctoral dissertation, or portfolio elements from good to excellent. These are aspects of my work you can count on: • On-time, punctual delivery with meticulous attention to deadlines • Fast turn-around • Zero plagiarism—Anyone else’s work referred to will be fully credited and properly cited. • Balance of deep understanding of writing conventions with fresh ideas and creative approaches • Tremendous sensitivity to cultural context—I’ve lived and worked in nine countries on five continents and I’ve taught students from across the globe! • Cheerful, patient interactions with a positive attitude I am eager to help your learners and to support you in your education and teaching. English to Korean TranslationBlog CommentingEssay WritingProduct PhotographyPhotographyBlog WritingNewsletter WritingWritingBlog DevelopmentKorean to English TranslationThank you for your efforts in finding a certified native Korean to translate your English descriptions into excellent Korean! I'm Chaelin from South Korea, currently living in Germany. I double-majored in General Education and English Education and taught English in middle school for two years. My passion for teaching languages led me to obtain a certificate of Korean Language Teacher (Level 3, Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Republic of Korea). After gaining experience in various environments, I started my translation and writing career in 2020. Since then, I have completed over 400+ lyrics translations and written more than 100+ short introductions for music albums in both Korean and English for a music publishing company. Another testament to my love for languages is my long-standing habit of journaling. Since 1995, I've kept diaries, starting with illustrated notebooks. As an "archivist," observing and documenting my surroundings has become second nature to me, enriching my life in countless ways. I self-published about 200 pages book in 2019. It was a task that required a lot of focus and precision. Additionally, I have a strong interest in photography and ten years of experience in the field. Artistic expression has profoundly shaped my life. Keeping diaries brings me pure joy, making moments and memories even richer.
