Hi, I’m am an American U.S. based medical device engineer with 15+ years of experience designing, testing, and validating PCB-level electronics for medical, industrial, military, and R&D applications. I specialize in EagleCAD/Fusion360 (primary) and Altium-compatible designs, and have hands-on experience with micro-soldering and bench-level troubleshooting and repair (facilities can be arranged for the right project). If you need help turning a schematic into a manufacturable board, debugging an existing design, or setting up automated testing for your hardware, I can support you from system concept through prototype, verification, and market release. Transparent communication and regulatory-grade documentation come standard—you’ll always know what’s been done, what’s next, and why it matters. Let’s get your design validated and ready to build.

Hello! If you need an Electrical Hardware Design Engineer to take your idea and walking it through full cycle PCBA/System development from the proof of concept to fully functional prototype, that's me. I've been doing electronics work for the last couple of years, specifically rapid prototype development of tiny, wearable and battery operated devices, like earbuds, special purpose/medical watches, IoT and other devices required miniaturization efforts. I work with startups and understand stastups specifics - tight budget, fast turn-around times & a lot of uncertainty. I love what I'm doing: - Engineering Specification and Hardware Architecture Design; - BOM selection: low power consumption tiny MPUs and Audio DSPs (3.5mmx2.8mm with 0.35mm BGA pitch), small passives 01005 size, high efficient and battery operated switching regulators, tiny WiFi/BT chips and SoC; - Schematics Capture - experience with complex circuits and netlist, as small wearable; - PCB Layout for DFM - working with FAB houses in Asia and local to define high density layout rules, negotiating price and lead time the same time. I'm doing PCB Layout myself up to 8 layers and supervising CAD Team for more complex boards up to 32 layers - yes, I did it :-) Blind and laser via technics, power delivery planning, stackup definition, signal and power integrity rules, EMC/EMI. Tight component's placement and power noise decupling technics. Flex-rigid, flex and regular rigid boards from 0.11mm to 5.0mm thickness; - I have good sense of ME/PCBA integration in single device, worked closely with ME CAD Engineers and doing integration myself. My board's deliverables include 3D step file and all library. - Working on BOM procurement and kitting for proto build; - Working with FAB facilities to coordinate proto PCB fabrication - have direct local contacts and contacts in Asia - Working with PCBA facilities to assemble proto PCBAs - local and oversea; - PCBA's bring up, ME/PCBA integration, Firmware integration; - failure analisys and fixing issues; I'm working in the soul of Silicon Valley and have my own lab and tools to bring up prototype PCBAs, ME assembly/integration and firmware integration. Regular communication with my clients and vendors to sync and resolve technical issues as project management as well.

From concept, to prototype, to production. I am a generalist Electronics Engineer with a strong background in hardware engineering. I began my career in Aerospace, where I partnered with other engineering disciplines to design and build a nanosatellite for NASA. Currently, I run Dragonfly Engineering, where we offer independent engineering and consulting services. With over a decade of experience in industry, I've worked extensively with product design, schematic capture, PCB layouts, power electronics, and all of the documentation that surrounds this. My expertise spans industries like automotive, aerospace, and space systems. As the founder of Dragonfly Engineering, I offer freelance solutions including PCB design, BOM creation, part selection, LTSpice/SPICE simulation, electrical testing, and rapid prototypes - including 3D-printed enclosures and basic mechatronics/firmware (C/C++/Python). If you're looking for innovative solutions delivered with precision and efficiency, I'm ready for both remote and local quick-turnaround projects. Let's collaborate to bring your ideas to life.
