I started my career after college in 2011 working for a self-publishing company formatting books and covers for paperback, hardcover, and eBooks. I then moved to work for a math company designing textbooks for publishers such as National Geographic Learning, Pearson Education, and Cengage Learning. Now, I am a full-time freelancer on Upwork. Before I began my career in graphic design, I was an English major and worked as a tutor throughout my four years of college. My primary role was proofreading/copy editing college papers, helping to bring a more professional and polished tone to their voice. I also volunteered as an editor for the college’s newspaper.
