I’m a sound designer, composer and audio producer creating music, sound effects and interactive audio for games, apps and digital experiences. I can help with: • Game sound effects and cohesive audio palettes • Original music, loops and adaptive soundtracks • FMOD, Wwise and Unity audio implementation • UI sounds and player feedback • Ambience, foley and field recording • Dialogue editing, restoration and VO processing • Podcast and long-form audio production • Product alerts and functional interface audio Over the past five years, I’ve worked across indie games, mobile apps, wellbeing platforms and medical technology. My projects have ranged from unsettling horror ambience and responsive gameplay systems to warm UI sounds, guided audio and alerts for enormous robotic medical equipment. In games, I’ve led audio on Castle of Blackwater and contributed music, sound design and implementation to projects including Rocket Shipment and Bag of Dreams. I enjoy joining projects while audio can still influence the experience, rather than arriving at the end and being asked to “put some sounds on it...kthnxbai!” I work primarily with Ableton Live, Reaper, Logic Pro, iZotope RX, FMOD, Wwise and Unity. I’m comfortable developing an initial audio direction, creating the assets, organising everything sensibly and testing the results in context. I also like incorporating hardware synthesis and original recordings wherever appropriate. This often involves enthusiastically twiddling knobs until something goes bleep, bloop or makes me rip my headphones off in panic. Occasionally, it even becomes exactly the sound the project needed. Outside games, I’ve produced guided and long-form audio for platforms including SenseForge, GetAhead, HealAble Minds and Dr Roy Martina. This work involves detailed dialogue editing, pacing, consistency and creating comfortable listening experiences. You might imagine me editing wellness content in complete tranquillity, surrounded by candles and gently chiming singing bowls. In reality, I swear at tiny mouth noises just as much as I do on every other project. Before freelancing, I taught music production at colleges across the UK and delivered workshops covering game audio and sound for film. That experience still shapes how I communicate: I’m collaborative, happy to explain technical decisions and comfortable working with people from different creative and technical backgrounds. I won’t claim to possess revolutionary ears or emotionally intelligent sound waves. What I will do is become genuinely invested in your project, obsess over the details and care about the result far more than is probably healthy. There may also be some light ceremonial chanting performed in the project’s honour.
