Advanced Bazel Trainer / Consultant for Large-Scale ML Infrastructure (Python/C++)

We are seeking an experienced Bazel specialist to deliver an advanced remote workshop for an engineering team building and operating large-scale Machine Learning infrastructure using Python and C++. This engagement is intended for experienced software and platform engineers. Participants will complete foundational Bazel learning independently, allowing live sessions to focus on advanced architecture, performance optimization, troubleshooting, and real-world implementation patterns. We are particularly interested in trainers with backgrounds such as: Build Systems Engineer Build Infrastructure Engineer Developer Productivity Engineer Platform Engineer ML Infrastructure Engineer Staff or Principal Software Engineer with Bazel expertise Topics of Interest Scaling Bazel across large Python and C++ codebases Starlark fundamentals and custom rule development Monorepo architecture and dependency management strategies Build graph optimization and build performance tuning Remote caching and remote execution architectures EngFlow, BuildBarn, BuildBuddy, or similar build acceleration platforms CI/CD integration patterns using Bazel Buildkite integration and enterprise build pipelines Reproducible and hermetic builds Test optimization and build observability Debugging complex build, dependency, and test failures Developer productivity best practices for large engineering organizations Governance and maintainability of large build systems Ideal Experience Hands-on Bazel experience in production environments Experience supporting large engineering organizations and monorepos Strong Python and/or C++ development background Experience working with ML infrastructure, platform engineering, developer tooling, or large-scale distributed systems Experience implementing remote cache and remote execution solutions Familiarity with Buildkite, EngFlow, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar CI/CD platforms Experience designing and maintaining scalable build infrastructure Workshop Expectations The workshop will be delivered remotely and should be highly interactive, with emphasis on: Real-world architecture discussions Hands-on labs and troubleshooting exercises Performance optimization techniques Practical debugging scenarios Review of representative repository structures and workflows Advanced implementation patterns rather than introductory concepts
